Re: 2018/19 Season

Forest away on a Saturday, one of my closest matches. I've been waiting years for that no to be midweek. Away on Boxing Day, which is annoying as that's usually one I try and get to, but back at Ewood for the last game of the season. There are some tough games there when you see it written down, it'...

Unless of course the referees are deliberately getting things wrong... :yeahright:
Almost as if someone in the host country has decided which nations they don't like, and encouraged the referees to favour them less :yeahright:

Re: England Squad

I can understand the referee being able to overrule the VAR, in the same way that he can overrule his assistants, but what I can't understand is why the ref hasn't been called over at all to watch either of the two incidents. I thought the whole point of it was that VAR HQ can see the coverage from ...

Re: England Squad

I suppose the downside to VAR is that you've still got referees watching it. If there's a "clear and obvious" incident the ref misses, they should tell him. We can only assume that the referee on the pitch, the two assistants, and however many are in VAR HQ all came to the conclusion that Kane hadn'...

Re: England Squad

At least we've got someone in charge of picking two on each side (or not).
Spain haven't.

Pre-Season Matches

As we're a month away from kicking off the pre-season, and a big home friendly has been announced, thought it was time we had a pre-season thread. Hibernian vs. Rovers Sunday July 8th, Easter Road, Kick-off 3pm Port Vale vs. Rovers Saturday July 14th, Vale Park, Kick-off 3pm Rovers vs. Liverpool Thu...

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

We're apparently tracking Irish striker Graham Burke, who's toe stopped Lenihan getting a debut goal for Ireland

Re: The Blackburn Rovers 'We Are Going Up' Celebration Thread

It's unfair in a situation where a team that's been pushing first and second all season can then lose out to the sixth team. At the end of this season, Shrewsbury and Charlton had an equal chance of winning the playoffs in theory, despite there being a 16 point gap between them. Obviously the other ...

Re: Ticket Prices

How do Rovers stand in the league table of ticket prices? I have a pal who supports Macclesfield and he paid more for non league football last year than I am paying for Championship soccer in 1918/19. Something which we should be grateful to Venkys for. Can't help thinking that if someone else boug...
