Re: Blackburn v Peterborough, Thur 19 April 2018, KO 18:45

Yeah if Shrewsbury won all 4 games we need 7 points, so two wins and a draw from our remaining games. We gave them 2 chances two claw back 4 points and they didn't take them, so hopefully their loss to Charlton is the kick up the arse we needed to refind our mojo on the pitch, particularly our free ...

Re: Bristol ROVERS v Blackburn ROVERS, Sat 14 April 2018, KO 15:00

In complete hope I'd wanted Charlton to get something tonight but didn't think it would happen. Amazing result. It changes the complexion of our game on Thursday now for. It's gone from a very high pressured potential must win to a positive opportunity to turn the screw a bit more on Shrewsbury and ...

Re: League One Team of the Season

Particularly if they could juggle chainsaws without any intention of hurting people.

Re: Bristol ROVERS v Blackburn ROVERS, Sat 14 April 2018, KO 15:00

Was very gutting to see the last kick of the game go in for Bristol. It all hinged on Williams not putting the game to bed which was unfortunate and having initially cleared the danger from the throw it was a sweetly stuck volley which we couldn't have done too much about. We can only see what Shrew...

Re: Bristol ROVERS v Blackburn ROVERS, Sat 14 April 2018, KO 15:00

The good thing is that is how Mowbray appears to be managing things with the team, just each game at a time. I think it's just comforting that we have the 4 point cushion, effectively 5 due to goal difference. Not sure I could cope if right now it was already neck and neck.

Re: Bristol ROVERS v Blackburn ROVERS, Sat 14 April 2018, KO 15:00

I think Wigan will win the league quite easily, although that could easily change, but I sort of expect them to not drop any more points or at worst maybe end up with a draw in on of their tougher games, perhaps Rotherham. But the target was promotion and winning the league would have been an added ...

Re: NEW DATE - Gillingham v Blackburn, Tue 10 April 2018, KO 19:25

Yeah Rich Sharpe notes in his match report how the tempo increased with the introduction of the subs, which it did and led to our best 10 minutes or so in the game and our best chances (Toppers can you check that as well please? ;) ). It was Payne turning sharply only on the edge of the box that won...

I coupled that we seeing how laboured and tired they were on the pitch last night for 90 minutes... They look knackered.

Re: NEW DATE - Gillingham v Blackburn, Tue 10 April 2018, KO 19:25

Toppers the team looks tired through and we've not played particularly well in the last 3 games despite getting 7 points, which could easily have only been 3. Even Bennett tweeted last night about needing rest and Mowbray has acknowledged we're lacking some of our fluency and sharpness. I'm not comp...

Re: NEW DATE - Gillingham v Blackburn, Tue 10 April 2018, KO 19:25

Yeah I think I just get frustrated because we're having such a good season and yet it's still going to go to the wire. And it is very frustrating to one season go down on 51 points and then potentially end up in the play-offs with over 90 points.

Re: NEW DATE - Gillingham v Blackburn, Tue 10 April 2018, KO 19:25

When you get so used to winning, a draw can feel like a defeat, but we're another point closer to promotion. Yeah exactly. Given the deficit we once had to Wigan and Shrewsbury it's been an amazing season and I don't want people to think I'm being negative overall, I'm not, just really wanting us t...

Re: NEW DATE - Gillingham v Blackburn, Tue 10 April 2018, KO 19:25

Well apart from two goal kick start he punted straight out, which is normal for Raya, he was probably our best performer. Made a key save in the first half and was commanding off his line when required. Also like how quickly he look at to distribute the ball.

Re: NEW DATE - Gillingham v Blackburn, Tue 10 April 2018, KO 19:25

I think what you'd say is quite evident is Wigan are playing very well again and both us and Shrewsbury are making harder work of things. If I was to have one grumble having been able to watch Bradford on TV and be at MK Dons and tonight is that I'd possibly want to give Bell a start ahead of Willia...

Re: NEW DATE - Gillingham v Blackburn, Tue 10 April 2018, KO 19:25

Just on the train back. We weren't great tonight but we weren't terrible either. Was a 0-0 game as nothing really happened although I'll credit Gillingham I thought they defended very well. We looked a bit tired and slow in possession tonight and a little short of ideas. The entire first half was ju...
