Re: The US sports thread

Also that Pats be Chiefs game was every bit as good as I thought and hoped it would be. Offense is so overwhelmingly OP this year due to all the contact penalties, ridiculous roughing the passer penalties etc. See Tom Brady’s touchdown run for how ridiculous it’s become. Defender has him wrapped up,...

Re: The US sports thread

Any of you interested in trading for JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR? He’s been pretty productive, just I’ll never play him due to the CPU drafting both him and Antonio Bryant together :x

Looking for a equally productive RB2 or WR2 in return

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Nottingham Forest, Sat, 29 Sept 2018, KO 15:00

It was a magical day, with a rare Rovers win to celebrate against the mighty Arse.

Nordic bakeware was sampled, kestrels soared majestically over the heart of Sheffield, Igor Tudor passed by in his riverboat on the Don and arable farmers hawked their latest yield.

It was truly something.

Re: Bolton

Stephen Darby diagnosed with motor neurone disease. Horrible news. Absolutely terrible, some things are more important than football and it’s tribal nature. It should be said, Prof. Stephen Hawkins was an incredible exception to the norm where MND is concerned. My thoughts are with the guy and his ...

I also can’t make it tonight due to prior engagements, though in fairness I’m probably not gonna play this season. Just gonna enjoy the games more.

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

Daily Fail strongly linking us with a move for Harry Chapman this week after been given the all clear to leave Boro on loan.

What a young, exciting team we’d have with Dack, Armstrong, Brereton and Chapman in attack. Not to mention Rothwell and Travis who have looked great in recent weeks!

Yeah it’s definitely Silvester and he’s still club secretary according to the website. Not announced yet though, maybe into the U-23 squad or academy?

Re: Vilius Piliukaitis

Looks like the kids agents broke the news early, he signed this morning at about 11 o clock. Pictures of the lad with his agent and I think Cheston or Waggott? Dude isn’t Mowbray for certain. https://twitter.com/innfootball_/status/1026401644228104193 Can never get these links to work. Anyone care t...

Re: Cycling

Thomas has always been a strong rider and a future leader, Just honestly didn’t see him beating Froome hands down and he is. Could be the Giro exertions starting to show, like it has for Quintana in years past. Either way I’m delighted for him and I do think he has the beating of Demoulin, probably ...

Re: Cycling

Such a bizarre incident, there is footage on Twitter of it. Dude just throws out a hammer punch at another rider. No idea why. Doesn’t seem to make contact, or little contact, but it’s just bloody stupid. Right at the start too. Rumours are it may have been comments from the other rider made about t...

Re: Cycling

I'm currently off work with something nasty I've brought back with me from Uganda but it allowed me to watch all of the stage yesterday. What a great bit of racing - the power Geraint had at the end to power past for the win was exceptional. Great stuff. I watched the end on my lunch break too and ...

Re: Films that are ace

Reigniting an old thread to say just how much I love the Greatest Showman. Sure it’s a musical and it was released to pretty lukewarm reviews, but since I first saw it the songs are pretty much stuck in my head most of the day and I’d say that more than anything is the sign of a good musical! Can’t ...

Re: Cycling

See that was one of my first thoughts, having read that the Tour organisers were going to ban him. I agree the timing is convenient. But then I remembered when he won the Giro, strong comments were made by the organisers pushing for a resolution before the Tour de France. Well they got one, probably...
