Re: The US sports thread

So I was right, kinda, Ingram had a big night on my bench but the big one was Matt Ryan and the Falcons playing so utterly badly against my Patriots. Jesus, I was expecting some whitewash revenge for the superbowl. They really are in full hangover mode after the SB last season. That and Ezekiel Elli...

Re: The US sports thread

Back on fantasy football terms, I think I've shot myself in the foot already this week after badly needing a win. Completely forgot about Thursday's matchup and left Marshawn Lynch in. Had a perfect matchup for Mark Ingram too and alas its too late now. Can't help but feel that would have made the d...

That is very true, the absence of ----------------- from polls this year has been duly noted.

Bad times :(

I personally think “Trump is a fat, orange, c**t” should be on the poll every week. It could be the new ———————— :yeahright:

Bonus is it’s more accurate than anything that spews from his ugly, petulant, Joffrey-esque pouting lips or his stubby tweeting fingers.

Re: The US sports thread

I was surprised by the result last night but pleasantly so. I did feel that he 4-0 run to open the season flattered them but I honestly didn’t see the Raiders doing them over.

One thing Andy Reid’s teams will inevitably do is lose when it matters. That’s why I’d never pick them for a Super Bowl.

Re: The US sports thread

Good news is he had surgery today and it's not career threatening. He'll not play again this season by sounds of it but should be back next season. Best case scenario I guess! :?

Re: The US sports thread

The Gordon Hayward injury for the Celtics last night, 5 mins into his debut 🤢 Certainly one of the worst I’ve ever seen, and I remember Cisse at Ewood Park! https://i1.wp.com/dwri.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/gordon-hayward.jpg?resize=620%2C400&ssl=1 Broken shinbone and ankle inc. dislocation. Re: The US sports thread

Tony Romo is a decent shout although I have been really enjoying his brand of commentary, after years of the woeful Phil Simms. He’s a Wisconsin native also but he’s had injury concerns and Green Bay’s line is going to get any QB killed the way they are playing. I think even with Kaps mobility you’d...

Re: The US sports thread

Nobody is going to give Kaepernik a spot now he’s suing the league for collusion under the CBA (collective bargaining agreement). He believes team owners have been conspiring to keep him out of the NFL and to be honest I can’t say they haven’t been. He’s better than at least 10-12 starting QBs in th...

Re: The US sports thread

Must be a nightmare for the NFL bosses, Beckham Jr, Watt and Rodgers gone in a two-week span. Horrific.

Re: The US sports thread

He’s hardly been setting the world alight this season anyway, I should know. Antonio Brown has been disappointing also.
