Re: Cycling

I hope it doesn't happen but I have the perfect song in mind if Sky's Henao has to retire from the Tour... :hyper:

Re: Cycling

Didn't attack or couldn't attack? We've seen time and again now how Quintana hasn't been able to live up to the hype when it comes to Le Tour. I've no doubt he's got the ability to contest but maybe he needs to focus entirely on Le Tour instead of the Giro too. Unbelievable how attritional this Tour...

Re: Cycling

Horrible, horrible crash for Richie Porte today. Initial news is it isn't a broken back and he's got a concussion, cuts and bruises. Miracle he wasn't badly injured if that's true. Lovely riding by AG2R today, especially Bardet, and young Barguil too for Sunweb. A not so classy stage for Aru and Qui...

Re: Cycling

Also I'm very, very shocked they disqualified Sagan. I thought a time penalty or relegation to the back of the Peloton would have sufficed but apparently Data Dimension protested and it was increased to a DQ. It looked far worse from the overhead camera. I think the fact that two other riders were a...

Re: Cycling

Yeah he was odds on favourites for the Maglia Rosa during the Giro but had a crash caused by a motorcycle and through injury ended up not finishing the tour. He's definitely a team leader in waiting but as long as Froome has a shot at his 4th I can't see them favouring Geraint. He's just not as good...

Re: Cycling

As good a cyclist as he is, Sagan needs to have a serious word with himself after his dangerous actions today. Probably ended Mark Cavendish' tour with an elbow forcing Cav off his bike and into the barriers. Very nasty incident and brought down two others at high speed. Andre Greipel wasn't directl...

Re: F1

Blackbat did you watch the finish? How the British Aston Martin team took the GT Pro classification on the vey last lap after hours of incredibly close racing. Was just phenomenal. Literally 24 hours of racing on the line in a few corners.

Re: General Election

Not to mention that aside from terrorism, there is a growing crime problem across the country not helped by reduced police numbers and less patrols.

Re: General Election

So in today's dirty politics bulletin, the Tories announce a national Election campaigning freeze following the London attacks and then promptly and blatantly campaign on the steps of Number 10 announcing new policy whilst the opposition is effectively gagged. Its fucking House of Cards stuff.... :r...

Re: General Election

I for one was absolutely speechless that a large section of the audience were baying and frothing at the mouth over the literal annihilation of human race. What Jeremy said, that diplomacy was the answer before nukes ever are, could not be better and is no different to international policy going bac...

Stephen Dawson? The Championship's three relegated teams, Blackburn Rovers, Wigan Athletic and Rotherham United, are in talks with Scunthorpe United captain Stephen Dawson, The Sun reports [15 May Goals pullout, page 15]. Diminutive midfielder Dawson played 43 times as Scunthorpe reached the League...

And if we hadn't sacked Bowyer to appoint quitter, he never would have been.
Goes back to what I was saying about the catalogue of Venkys errors, or at least errors made on their behalf by staff employed by them.

Just so many bad decisions made over many years now.
