Re: Joe Rothwell

Appears to be a nice signing.

I will wait for y’all to weigh-in on this, but I am glad TM signs somebody who “was a thorn in our side” this past season.

Re: Pre-Season Matches

Playing Champions League finalists ought to give us a good idea of where we need to make improvements. They won't have everybody, but the players they have will be choice. Good challenge.

Re: Blackburn Rovers, Season in Review- D3D4football.com

By success rate, I mean more of an impact than simply making the 1st team; start, or contribute significantly over the course of the season.

Re: Blackburn Rovers, Season in Review- D3D4football.com

I figure signings in EFL, like NFL, you are glad to hit about 50% success rate. I believe TM is an astute enough judge of talent, as y’all have said, he needs to be even better this summer, injecting new & better talent into the club. With the “retained list” going out today, obviously, Graham has v...

Re: Blackburn Rovers, Season in Review- D3D4football.com

Thanks, Mcteeth. Yes, in my first article, & subsequent one at midseason, I gave a recapitulation of the previous season, the recent history, etc, of the club. Those may still be “up” at D3D4, not sure. I wish I had said more about the fans; you are right, the fans have been amazing this year, parti...

Re: Blackburn Rovers, Season in Review- D3D4football.com

Great analysis Waco! If I could add one more thing it might be that someone, somewhere got the ear of the owners to leave well alone and let the manager do what he was hired and trusted to do. No more overseas consultants, no more agent's advice, just a well experienced manager doing what he though...

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

Any scuttlebutt on the availability of players on teams dropping to League 1? I would imagine Sunderland’s best, even if they were available (McGeedy, Grabban, et al), would be too expensive.

Blackburn Rovers, Season in Review- D3D4football.com

This was my last article for the site; as always, I appreciate comments, & "helpful criticism." I hope y'all enjoy it! Promotion at the first attempt- Blackburn Rovers fans are elated at the outcome, and the final result, which places them back into the Championship. However, most fans of the Blue a...

Re: The Blackburn Rovers 'We Are Going Up' Celebration Thread

Y’all should try being Blackburn Rovers fans, living in Central Texas. The only persons here who have a clue who Blackburn is, is “Limey John”, self-proclaimed, a vehicle headliner specialist here. He’s from Bristol, but no, he’s not a fan of either club there. He’s a Nottingham Forest ultra, ...

Good for them. The more local teams to play next season the better, makes it much more entertaining.
Agreed.

I am sure there will be some anxious moments in the Championship next season, & probably lots of grief provided by Bolton, Preston, & Wigan, but it oughta be fun and a great ride, too.

[quote=Thorisgodpoo post_id=241315 time=1525571868 user_id Lastly, glad we are back up in the Championship. This was a great season in spite of being in League 1. It showed the quality Mowbray can bring in and made me really believe that he can evaluate talent and convince them to come on. [/quote] ...

Very satisfying. Except the thickheadedness of a few at the end.

League One, a fond adieu!

Bunch of idiot supporters invading the pitch before full time. I am happy too, but at least wait until full time.
Please tell me there are no forfeits in EFL for idiot fan behavior
