Re: Plymouth Argyle v Blackburn, Sat 3 Feb 2018, KO 15:00

Disappointed by the loss on Saturday after a great run and it is no disaster. I'm sure Rovers will bounce back...BUT... of more concern is that Wigan and Shrewsbury are looking too good to be overhauled. Wigan have arguably as good a squad as Rovers and with two games in hand will be impossible to c...

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

Agree with McTeeth.

I was at the Oxford game that night as well. He was a constant pain in our arse and never gave up. Will be great to see him play as well for Rovers.

Mcteeth - Thanks for the memory reload - I do remember that game now you mention it...because I went to the last home match two games later when we needed to beat Wigan 6-0 or something similar to get into the play offs! Totally agree about Downing, he is proving to be a very polished player, hopefu...

Re: Oxford United v Blackburn Rovers, Tue 21/11 2017

Went to the game on Tuesday, a last minute whim based on the win at Bury. God am I glad I did. It has taken until today to come down from the massive high of what was a professional win. Excellent support from the near 800 Roverites and a complete team performance. Prior to the game we had a few bee...

Re: ROVERS V Fleetwood Town October 31st

Went to the game last night. My first at Ewood since April 2016 - hangs head in shame. Overall I thought we played OK, but god we lack a killer instinct. After a turgid first half we got our noses in front and then conceded the most basic straight down the middle of the park goals - a surprise as ou...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Plymouth Argyle

Usually I am a manic depressive when it comes to Rovers results - but I am actually trying to see the positives in this result. I agree with Darth that it is a long hard season and its harsh to judge us on a few iffy results. By all accounts we battered them last night but couldn't put the bloody th...

Re: Bradford v Blackburn, Sat 19 August 2017, 15:00

And Lo did it come to pass that TM, in his infinite wisdom, reverteth to 4-4-2. And it came to pass that Conway did thrive and Samuels did score. And many Rovers disciples did jump up and down shouting "Get in" And there was much joy and happiness for at least 72 hours. But the Lord said unto TM "Be...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Doncaster Rovers Sat 12 Aug 2017, 15:00

Correct me if I'm wrong but when TM arrived did he not play 4-4-2 and tighten up the defence. Did he not play to our strengths and put players in the positions where they are best suited. Did we not enjoy the breath of fresh air, when we started to pick up points and score some (not many) but some g...

Promotion favourites my hairy arse. First ever season in the fourth tier this time next year unless they wake up and realise that you fight your way out of this league. Sort your s**t out Rovers.

Re: Time to re-set. Who's in?

Like Darth and the growlery I started my Rovers story back in the 70's - October 1974 to be precise. Driving over the tops from Ossie with my Grandad and into the old Riverside. A one nil win against Bournemouth and the aforementioned Tony Field hit the winner whilst I was still coming through the t...

Re: Rovers vs Brentford

Will be watching from behind the sofa on Sunday. Positive side of me says.... We have won 6 of our paltry games this year against the same opposition Derby, Forest and Newcastle. Does it follow that our next win will also give us a double against Brentford? God I hope so. Negative side of me says......

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Aston Villa 2: Electric Boogaloo

Not saying the Liverpool fans wern't rooting for us or that the ground did indeed go silent. My point was that the footballers on the pitch didn't stop playing for a win - regardless of what the fans may or may not have wanted. So fully expect Villa to play at 100%. And hopefully so do Huddersfield ...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Aston Villa 2: Electric Boogaloo

Loving all the gibberish coming out of the Villa fans on their forums about bringing a bunch of kids to play us and cheering if we score etc. Anything to see Birmingham relegated. All fun stuff, but when does any team really want to lose. I seem to remember the same bull being talked about when we p...

Re: Rovers vs Forest, 14th April 2017

To strive to seek to find and NOT TO YEILD Seems my poetry brought dividends! Went to the game yesterday. Rovers fans in good humor throughout with most before the game resigned to relegation. Now we are just confused. Needless to say the Monday game is the biggest in the clubs recent history. Have...
