Re: Peter Whittingham

Average or not noticed from a defensive mid position is when the rolls being played at its best. Providing cover, providing a pivot in back, organizing those in front and connecting passes is all that's asked. It's a role lacking glory.

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

This would be great if it happens. Chapman showed a lot early this season

Re: Amari’i Bell

Mowbray speaks highly of Amari'i Bell and also makes reference to Derrick Williams contribution this season. Bell has been signed to create competition at left back. Interesting this one. Williams has done good enough job but Mowbray has gone out and brought in some direct competition for his place...

Re: Rovers vs AFC Wimbledon - Sat 16th Sept, 3pm

Wimbledon, Doncaster and Southend have won 4 league games between them and somehow 3 have been over us. :? We really have won the harder games on paper so far. Oh well onto Shrewsbury, I imagine there'll be plenty of changes, especially in midfield given our depth there. Seems as though the lads do...

Re: Thanks for Shane Duffy.Money well spent methinks

I see Hanley is back in the Championship despite you lot thinking he was better than Duffy and costing more ? Don't always believe what is said on internet football forums should be a golden rule. Duffy has been an outstanding signing for us. He will be a regular along side Dunk In the Premier leag...

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

Paul Caddis looks like it's going to happen as well as Samuel. After being linked to Akinde i was hoping we'd pursue that after his goals tally over the last three seasons. Might as well have just called Coyle a wanker there with that last bit... "We might have to wait on one or two. We will probab...

Re: Bradley Dack

This time last season we had no manager and no signings. No wonder we got off to such a poor start last season that we never recovered from. This time around we have a manager no one has a real gripe with in place and we have three new players. All this and its not even July yet. Here's to a good p...

Re: Value of Rovers

Weren't we spending something like 97% of turnover on wages when we were in the PL? I think Messi's wage alone would be higher than our current turnover..... let alone 60%. Though the description of how turnover is calculated might stop any equity injections from Venky's being classed as a bad thin...

Re: Value of Rovers

Not sure how accurate this is but there seems to be different rules in league 1. Maybe we should be in on Messi, then. http://www.financialfairplay.co.uk/scmp.php

Re: Value of Rovers

It will be interesting what the taxes look like for the fiscal year. June 2016 was reported to having only £1.5m in the financial year compared to £17.3m in 2015 . And that was the last year of parachute payments. Now we're out this money to offset losses. http://www.blackburn.vitalfootball.co.uk/a...
