Re: Oxford United v Blackburn Rovers, Tue 21/11 2017

Nuttall is still on a learning curve, he could be anything - let's hope Rovers put him on a decent contract so if he does get snapped up, the club should earn a few bob. To any of our great bunch of fans that went to the match - how did Raheem Harper play? He is only 17 so we should cut him a bit of...

Bury v Blackburn Rovers

Something unique at Gigg Lane today, Rovers' phenomenal away support means they have been allocated both ends of the ground.
And Nuttall starts.

Re: Make hay while the sun shines.

It's quite ludicrous that I'm concerned about the Bury match, but our record against the bottom teams is abysmal - and has been for a couple of seasons.
I believe it's connected to our casual attitude on the pitch - our players still believe they are too good for this league.

Re: Make hay while the sun shines.

By the end of November ,what will be the ratio of home games played against away games? There seems to be an imbalance, or is it my imagination?

Re: Rovers Wingers

Harper? Have I missed someone?
We need a specialised winger, in fact the game as a whole seems to be short of genuine wingers. Even England no longer seems to play wingers, and relies on 'wing backs'. Or am I out of touch?

Rovers Wingers

Glad to see Wharton is back to fitness though - Wharton and Lenihan could form a great defensive basis for Rovers in the future, even if they are both prone to red cards. With Chapman out we badly need a creative winger it's OK playing Antonsson as a stop gap,but we've lost Feeney (fast but useless)...

Re: Rovers v Barney, 3/11 2017, @a time

The odd thing is that Rovers' approach has been far too casual for the last five seasons - whichever manager has been in charge. We take the pitch as though we are a goal up ,and the only time we hit top gear is in the last ten minutes of matches we are losing. The younger players may lack experience...

I agree Darth,he drops the ball too often for my liking. His distribution is better than Steele's but still not brilliant.

Correct, Dan.
The worrying thing for me was Chapman hobbling off with a hamstring.
For automatic promotion we have to be the best, or second bet team in our league.
We are not.

Sanny Graham and Harry Chapman dropped for Antonsson and Conway.
I'll never understand this game.i

In the Championship this season Rhodes has started only twice plus seven appearances as sub, and scored no goals. SW might well be happy to get his wage bill off the books

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Portsmouth Sat 20/10 2017 @ 3 PM

When Conway and Bennett are fit, Antonsson won't get into the team. There can't be many teams with only two recognised centre forwards, particularly if they have ambitions towards promotion. There is a window in January - Mowbray must use this. Rhodes on loan would suit me.

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Portsmouth Sat 20/10 2017 @ 3 PM

Great match, great performance yesterday. Full credit to the Pompey supporters who never stopped singing even when they were two goals down even with an horrendous journey home in front of them. Raya's distribution isn't great, especially when he elects to kick to one of the defenders, a couple of t...
