Re: Blackburn Rovers v Rotherham, Sat 10 Nov 2018, KO 15:00

Either I'm blind or stupid (my wife would say both) but the player no one ever mentions is Jack Rodwell. Yet for me he never put a foot wrong last Saturday. When we talk about Mowbray's brilliant signings, I'd put Rodwell up there among them.

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Rotherham, Sat 10 Nov 2018, KO 15:00

I think you could quite easily see that lineup 15 minutes into the second half of any game. I would also like to see Travis get a bit more game time.
At the risk of getting excommunicated or similar, I don't think that Mulgrew could have played any better than Rodwell did on Saturday.

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Rotherham, Sat 10 Nov 2018, KO 15:00

Not one Rovers player had a poor game yesterday. Everyone gave there all - I don't think we will ever again dominate a game so much and not win. In many ways it reminded me of the West Ham v Man Utd game on the last Saturday of our Championship winning season when we lost to Liverpool. United batter...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Rotherham, Sat 10 Nov 2018, KO 15:00

Raya might be brave, but I wouldn't risk him with a badly broken nose, especially when we have a decent reserve goalkeeper and Raya can have a further two weeks off. He's only young and another blow on his face could damage his confidence. Let him watch from the stands.

Re: Where are they now?

The potted history didn't mention his winning goal at Wembley to win us the Freightrover trophy (at least I think thats what it was!)

I'm no tactician, but if the opposition insist on doubling up against Dack, cannot this be turned to our advantage?

Re: Blackburn Rovers v QPR, Sat 3 Nov 2018, KO 15:00

Abysmal game, we won ugly. His acolytes might disagree, but Dack just isn't doing it these days, yet mowbray persists in giving him a lone cf job when Graham goes off. Brereton should be in the middle after the substitution. Lenihan was outstanding, thoroughly deserved mom. These days it depends whic...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v QPR, Sat 3 Nov 2018, KO 15:00

I think Graham is underestimated by many fans. There is no one else in the team that can hold up the ball with his back to the goal while the rest of the attack moves forward. Danny oozes class, not always evident by the stats..

Re: Blackburn Rovers v QPR, Sat 3 Nov 2018, KO 15:00

I like that team, particularly with your 'suspected' change, ie Palmer on the wing and Reid in the centre. As we are at home I'd prefer that slightly more attacking option.
I think there might have been a riot if Smallwood had been dropped -he'll get the biggest cheer tomorrow for certain!

Re: West Brom v Blackburn Rovers, Sat, 27 Oct 2018, KO 15:00

I think Danny is one of our biggest assets. Oozes class. Is there anyone in the Championship that can hold up the ball with his back to the goal like he can? But what will happen is if he is injured? Samuel is out for the season and Nuttall needs a couple of seasons. I prefer Travis to Evans - this ...

Re: Swansea City v Blackburn Rovers, Tue, 23 Oct 2018, KO 19:45

When the same 18 players were nominated for the match and the same 11 players started I felt alarm bells ringing. I just don't subscribe to the 'don't change a winning team theory'. The team needed freshening, I'd have played Brereton as cf from the start and used Danny as sub. Palmer, Rothwell,Trav...

Re: Swansea City v Blackburn Rovers, Tue, 23 Oct 2018, KO 19:45

Swansea dominating second half, 2-1 to the Swans,
look like scoring more. Brereton sounds as though he is having a poor game, Dack inexplicably asked to play up front on his own.
