This is what our season's coming to. In like lions, out like lambs.

Don't forget Bell has scored two goals this season- if we can get a good left back I'd be happy to keep Bell as back up to play wide on the left .

Re: Birthday Bash Boogaloo: Blackburn Rovers v Wigan Athletic, Tue 12 March 2019, KO 19:45

Not a great performance from Rovers, fortunately Wigan were dire. Mcgloire's debut wasn't perfect but was good enough. I'll have him over Williams any day. He just needs to dominate the opposition a tad more, I'm sure that will come, especially if he plays alongside Mulgrew or Lenihan. I lost count ...

Re: Birthday Bash Boogaloo: Blackburn Rovers v Wigan Athletic, Tue 12 March 2019, KO 19:45

I like Nyambe -he has the ability to overlap with Bennet and beat a defender. I like the idea of playing the two young centre halves -Williams is very much a stop gap for us- he's too slow to play full back, as was demonstrated against Preston, he certainly cost us two points. I feel the same about ...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Preston North End, Sat 9 March 2019, KO 12:00

Rovers form improved today despite the odd goal defeat. Danny's 'goal' would have been allowed by nine out of ten refs -who did us no favours at any stage of the match. Hard to play against twelve men. As so often this season, left back has been our weakness - Wiliams is desperately slow, and was re...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Preston North End, Sat 9 March 2019, KO 12:00

I won't be sorry to see that. The energy Travis has brought to the side (after he was almost sent out on loan) and the improvement he has shown since playing regularly will hopefully encourage Mowbray to bring more of the youth team on.

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Preston North End, Sat 9 March 2019, KO 12:00

One tough match this.
They thrashed us at Deepdale.
North End are far better than their league position suggests
Rover are bang out of form.
Might be another miserable afternoon.

Re: Rotherham v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 2 Mar 2019, KO 15:00

The reason why Rovers put in so many under par performances is quite simply lack of competition We started the season with 27 squad members. Since then, Whittingham, Downing, Palmer, Tomlinson, and Caddis have left. Hart is out on loan, and Fisher is the third goalkeeper. Samuel, Davenport and Gladwi...

Re: Birmingham City v Blackburn Rovers, Sat, 23 Feb 2019, KO 15:00

Evans seems to have taken over the role vacated by Keith Andrews. Jason Lowe was another who stuck around for ages but never performed , although of course he did score one memorable goal which is moire than Evans seems capable of. If a player like Baptiste can score 2/3 goals every year, surely it ...

Re: Birmingham City v Blackburn Rovers, Sat, 23 Feb 2019, KO 15:00

I'm afraid that Rovers' results now appear to be decided by which Rovers team turns up. We've seen brilliant and horrendous performances from the same eleven men - a perfect model of inconsistency. It would take a very brave supporter to predict the outcome of any Rovers match.

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Middlesborough, Sun 17 Feb 2019, KO 13:00

Surely Nyambe has done enough to earn his place back. Between him and Williams it's a no brainer. Travis made a few mistakes, but the difference in energy between him and Evans is striking. Dack is finding life a tad more difficult in this division, only to be expected of course. Away to Birmingham ...

I suspect Rodwell was taken off because he was on a yellow. Mowbray couldn't risk going down to 9 men

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Middlesborough, Sun 17 Feb 2019, KO 13:00

I'd have persevered with Scott Wharton at ch. One criticism I have of Mowbray is that he's reluctant to give our youngsters a chance. If Smallwood hadn't been injured, Travis would have been out on loan by now, Other teams seem happy to blood youngsters from time to time - surely we must have some g...
