Re: Birmingham City v Blackburn Rovers, Sat, 23 Feb 2019, KO 15:00
I'm afraid that Rovers' results now appear to be decided by which Rovers team turns up. We've seen brilliant and horrendous performances from the same eleven men - a perfect model of inconsistency. It would take a very brave supporter to predict the outcome of any Rovers match.

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Middlesborough, Sun 17 Feb 2019, KO 13:00
Surely Nyambe has done enough to earn his place back. Between him and Williams it's a no brainer. Travis made a few mistakes, but the difference in energy between him and Evans is striking. Dack is finding life a tad more difficult in this division, only to be expected of course. Away to Birmingham ...

I suspect Rodwell was taken off because he was on a yellow. Mowbray couldn't risk going down to 9 men

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Middlesborough, Sun 17 Feb 2019, KO 13:00
I'd have persevered with Scott Wharton at ch. One criticism I have of Mowbray is that he's reluctant to give our youngsters a chance. If Smallwood hadn't been injured, Travis would have been out on loan by now, Other teams seem happy to blood youngsters from time to time - surely we must have some g...

I'd put Nyambe on the left, Bennett on the right, ( or the other way round) drop Bell, and bring in Rothwell.

Left back has been a weakness all season. I'd ask Nyambe to play on the left.

Re: Reading v Blackburn Rovers, Wed 13 Feb 2019, KO 20:00
I got to wondering last night how many goals have Rovers scored this season from outside the penalty area, other than set pieces? (thank you Charlie). Travis won't shoot, Evans can't shoot and I wonder how our scoring 'record' compares with other clubs. Perhaps instead of blaming late goals Mowbray ...

Re: Fred Pickering R.I.P.
Can't think of anything to add to those epitaphs, thank you guys. I just remember Fred as a rough tough centre forward who kept banging the goals in for Rovers. I've often wondered if Marshall considered him for the Cup Final after Dougan handed his transfer request in on the morning of the match- h...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Bristol City, Sat 9 Feb 2019, KO 15:00
Rovers didn't do a lot wrong yesterday other than coming up against the best defence we'll see at Ewood this season.
I'm still wondering though, who will play when Mulgrew, Lenihan and Rodwell are all fit?

Is Nyambe injured? That side of the field always seems better defended when he's playing.

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Bristol City, Sat 9 Feb 2019, KO 15:00
Hull were the form side when we played them too! If Lenihan doesn't make it then Mulgrew might be back . One advantage of having three cracking centre halves. Seem to recollect that we didn't suffer earlier in the season when Dack couldn't play- but as one of our crown jewels I wouldn't want to see ...

Re: Mike Harrison R.I.P.
Duggy, my memories of Noddy McLeod vary from yours. The forward line of Douglas, Dobing, Dougan, Vernon and Mcleod is one of my favourites (although I developed a hatred for Cheyenne Dougan after you know what). Macleod was one of the few Rovers that had a decent Cup Final. Not sure how far you go b...
