Re: Blackburn v Wigan Athletic, Sunday 4th March 2018, KO 12 high noon

Is the weather bad in Blackburn? If it was in the Home Counties, it would be a state of emergency with the army out and lead headlines on the news. So no. It seems I owe you an apology after learning the snow was so bad, two Russian assassins tourists were unable to make it to Salisbury cathe...

I thought £750k was a lot to spend on Dack last season, and that worked out ok, so...

But £7m for someone who can't get in Forest's side seems a big risk.

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

I agree, why wouldn't you look to improve on what you have if possible? From a practical point of view, you may decide one position is strong enough and prioritise other areas. And I suppose you could make an argument that you could demoralise an in-form player by suddenly putting their place under ...

The only thing I’m not keen on is where he says that he’s got ‘nothing to prove’. In my opinion he has EVERYTHING to prove at this point.
Surely we all know by now that footballers can only communicate in clichés?

Re: Jack Rodwell

Ha! That's incredible ^  I'm not sure it's the same as Bellamy and Santa Cruz either - Bellamy had been frozen out at Newcastle because of an argument with Souness, Santa Cruz was still regularly involved with Bayern's first team. Both were capable players, but needed to come here for th...

plus its only a month long loan.
Eh?
Rovers are delighted to announce the signing of Jack Rodwell on a deal until the end of the season.
Who do you think we're loaning him from? :D

Re: Jack Rodwell

Feels like a bad move. We've got burned a few times in recent seasons with the likes of Murphy, Guthrie and Whittingham not producing on their obvious talent. Rodwell's career has spectacularly nosedived and it's hard to picture him getting it back. So now I've said that, he'll be awesome for us... ...

Re: Reading FC woes...

Three games is nothing. Whilst no one likes losing, a bit of perspective is needed. Maintaining good form is incredibly difficult over time, your players get older, injured or just stop playing as well. Meanwhile, other clubs are striving to get better than you, looking for some way to overturn the ...

Works the other way too, where you turn people down because you think you've got someone starting, only for them to not turn up.
Not sure that's strictly the opposite of having your job under threat because of a possible takeover, but yes, it's another thing that happens. :D
