Re: England Squad

My own speculation is whether a decision has been made on what VAR is and isn't used for, so for example for penalties and red cards I think it isn't going to be used and has been already for just penalties. Whilst both incidents on Kane were very obvious penalties I suspect the fear is if you star...

Re: England Squad

I can understand the referee being able to overrule the VAR, in the same way that he can overrule his assistants, but what I can't understand is why the ref hasn't been called over at all to watch either of the two incidents. I thought the whole point of it was that VAR HQ can see the coverage from...

Re: England Squad

I suppose the downside to VAR is that you've still got referees watching it. If there's a "clear and obvious" incident the ref misses, they should tell him. We can only assume that the referee on the pitch, the two assistants, and however many are in VAR HQ all came to the conclusion that Kane hadn...

Re: England Squad

For ten minutes or so, I was getting optimistic that we might get something from England this year, but then it turned into the usual tripe. I've always struggled to understand what Henderson offers other than momentum killing backwards passes and sloppy mistakes. Lingard is at least a bit more posi...

Re: Ticket Prices

How do Rovers stand in the league table of ticket prices? I have a pal who supports Macclesfield and he paid more for non league football last year than I am paying for Championship soccer in 1918/19. Something which we should be grateful to Venkys for. Can't help thinking that if someone else boug...

GDPR

Another fine example of EU bureaucracy making a mess of what would be a sensible idea.

Re: Where are they now?

I too find Rylan fucking irritating but I wouldn’t write a stupid tweet like that about it. Of all the places to work and be irritated by LGBT culture. Except it wasn't in Brighton, it was 6/7 years ago while he was a teenager at Everton. Doesn't excuse it, but teenagers are naive, twitter wa...

Re: General Election

He’s a very right wing Labour rep And that there is what makes it so entertaining to watch from the outside. He's not far-right, he's a normal left-wing Labour activist who disagrees with the path Momentum want to take the party down and helped get someone else selected as candidate for the forthco...

Re: Sack race

Surely LOLambert has to go soon. He's completely failed at Stoke . Stoke relegated. I can guess what Lambert probably meant to say here , but GUFFAW! I wish I wasn't here because that would mean they'd be in a far better and more stable position. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44109888 And no...
