Re: Brexit....or in.

Labour are ahead in the polls with popular policies. No they're not. https://britainelects.com/polling/westminster/ Typically, an opposition party should be well ahead at this stage in a parliament term just because whoever is in power will be garnering negative press. The Tories are getting...

Re: Brexit....or in.

Point number two is hilarious, for example. It's completely incompatible with leaving the EU, and something the EU would never realistically agree to without affecting the other five points. But of course you have to leave the land of the partizans to start paying attention to that..... But then it...

Re: Brexit....or in.

Labour have for months now had 6 factors that must be passed by any Brexit deal, most important of all is protecting jobs and workers rights through frictionless trade. Something that May’s deal doesn’t do. Kier Starmer is the minister responsible for that, and a damn fine politician, but Corbyn ha...

Re: Brexit....or in.

Well given the lack of vote on the proposed deal it's only a matter of time before a vote of no confidence. Which will be amusing cause Corbyn is anti europe.... I'm not convinced that he is. He just likes to object to everything and anything, and so in a generally pro-European House of Commons he'...

For what it's worth, we've averaged 1.56 points per game against sides currently in the top half of the table, 1.58 points per game against sides in the bottom half.

Re: Brexit....or in.

Not joking, just clearly read all the wrong bits. Just had another quick look at and even Osbournes covering letter is pretty damning. What a shower of shit Cameron and his little gang were. Fair enough. Of course, it cost Osborne his political career when his bluff was called. But the "think tanks...

Re: Brexit....or in.

Thanks for ‘saving me the bother of trawling through’. I had a quick look anyway and could only see a lot of statements about how a leave result in the referendum would cause uncertainty across the business world, resulting in a possible reduction in uptake of contracts. It seemed a pretty fair pre...

I have literally negative time for people who think we shouldn't engage in growth as a human race and just focus on the UK.

And I have literally negative time for people who just focus on the EU and forget the human race is found over the whole world.

Spot the EU members!

Re: Brexit....or in.

You can quibble over the figures, but we are a net contributor to the EU. As we should be. We're fecking rich. Charity does not start at home. I'll remember to mention that next time we're talking about a lack of funding for our police, schools, NHS, etc. But why are we putting it into other relati...

Re: Brexit....or in.

And a good number of the 16m who voted to stay were probably influenced by the deceitful claims from the likes of Osborne and Carney that voting to leave would send the country into an immediate recession, which of course never happened. Wasn’t the argument, not that voting to leave, but actually l...

Re: Brexit....or in.

I’d argue a good amount of those 17m people voted leave on the back of the circa £350m extra funding for the NHS a week that was proven pretty quickly after the referendum to be a complete lie. And a good number of the 16m who voted to stay were probably influenced by the deceitful claims from the ...

Re: Brexit....or in.

I'd agree with Eth if it wasn't for the fact we waited 25 years to have the chance to say we didn't want to join the EU in the first place. For those who wanted to leave things as they are to now suggest we need another vote so soon shows they're more interested in having their own way than democrac...

Re: Sack race

He could have been written off as "pants" here had our board been as trigger happy as some of those other clubs. And that's essentially the problem for all football managers, they're rarely given time to turn around a side that's in bad form. But then they take the jobs knowing what's likely to happ...

Re: Wigan v Blackburn Rovers, Wed 28th Nov 2018, KO 19:45

It happens. We've started the season well which has perhaps raised expectations, but coming to the halfway point we're still midtable which is good considering we were a division lower last year. The last couple of games have brought us back down with a bit of a bump, but there's no need for knee je...

You're totally focussed only on your experience. For my experience: I personally did not stay on the maternity ward the whole time for four days: I didn't need to. Ah. You mean you're focussed on your experience. Great, you didn't need to stay the whole time - go you! As with many things, you don't...
