Re: General Election
Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell calls Winston Churchill a "villain"... :footinmouth: :dunce:  Not the most popular opinion, but lets face it, regardless of his achievements, Churchill was no saint. If you think he was no saint, just wait until you hear about his opposite number in Germany... ...

https://euobserver.com/tickers/144147 The European Ombudsman confirmed on Monday it upheld its verdict that the promotion of Martin Selmayr to EU Commission secretary-general had been a case of "maladministration". The ombudsman called it "highly regrettable" the commission, led by Jean-Claude Junck...

Re: House buying
Oh man, if you have a housebuying experience that isn't like fighting a sack full of crabs then I'd be surprised. One of the most stressful undertakings I've ever experienced, and I've done it 3 times. It's worse when you're trying to sell too. Good luck mate. That'll be me! 6 weeks done and dusted...

Re: House buying
The arrival of ZWARTT has lead us to look for a bigger home for our family - we had an offer accepted just before Christmas but have been waiting for 4 weeks for the draft contract to come through from the sellers' solicitor. Initially a skiing holiday was blamed for the delay, but now we're going r...

Re: Brexit....or in.
It's quite ironic that the "racists" voted to open us up to the world and treat all immigrants equally, the "non-racists" opted to try and make history's colonial powers great again and give preferential treatment to citizens from mostly white European nations. :yeahright: I see we're not going to h...

Exactly, and I'd love to know what the 2% who want "something else" actually have in mind...mrblackbat wrote: ↑Thu Jan 31, 2019 6:38 pmSurely question 5 and the first four aren't mutually exclusive?
It shows why having another referendum would create more headaches.

Re: Brexit....or in.
I've only kept half an eye on their situation recently, but wouldn't they have gone into a recession either way? They've been heading towards it for ages. They've been in the EU for ages too... :yeahright: The fact they're signed up to the Euro seems to be a big frustration for their government, th...

But don't you see you employ the exact same tone? You start off preaching and then get uppity when someone makes a personal jibe in retaliation to one of your own . Grow a thicker skin and be less hypocritical for God's sake. ;) And whoopdidoo, you have a 20 year old economics a level. So you're sa...
