Re: Is it time for owen to go???

I asked a question on the other thread, about Coyle's tactics. This is probably the correct place. Is Coyle basically a good manager tactically, or do we just want him gone because he managed Bolton & Burnley? Utilizing the existing talent- all that he has been given to use- is he a good enough...

Re: Blackburn/ManU, FA Cup.

It was a good effort, we played as well as we could have hoped for, scored one good goal and had decent chances to add more. We were expected to lose, to keep the score down to one goal against a much superior side on paper should feel like an achievement. And yet it feels disappointing that we can ...

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

But we knew they wouldn't give a work permit because we knew he didn't meet the criteria, so we knew it would go to an appeal. Didn't we? Why it's taken two weeks just to get to the point we knew was inevitable on deadline day is another matter...

Re: Is it time for owen to go???

He means irrelevant at present because of the other obstacles that need to be dealt with first. Add more squad depth, and we still won't be in a position to win the CL, because we're not entered in it. Write off the debt, and we still won't see the club sold, because it's not for sale.

Re: Is it time for owen to go???

But having 100 million of debt makes making a profit extremely difficult. How so? I mean, obviously some loans have interest payments that need to be adhered to, which would eat into annual profits. But Venky's loan is interest free with no repayment date. Which, unless I'm missing something, makes...

Re: Is it time for owen to go???

Guys sorry i started an argument but forgive me if i am wrong but if Venky's put the club up for sale surely that would mean Venkys would be after the 40 odd million they paid for the club plus the outstanding debt to them which i assume is around the 100 million mark. Again assuming that a buyer c...

Re: Is it time for owen to go???

But Bolton and Wigan are. The two clubs who, along with us, had zero time to adapt their operating model to the new rules, whilst being relegated into them. Good point, but I'm sure you're also aware of the significant differences too. You could look at Wolves, Fulham, QPR, Reading too for example.

Not at all, just find your ultra pedantic, nitpicking posting style ever more boring. So that's four posts on me now, none replying to the point I made. I assume that means you don't actually disagree that different owners could approach the FFP problem in another (better) way? Cause you've ...

I've always took it as a sign that the bar is set really, really low... I think he's poor, but I struggle to think of another ref who's that much better... :o
