Re: Blackburn v Peterborough, Thur 19 April 2018, KO 18:45
Bury coming up huge for us today, drawing 1-1 with Shrewsbury. This puts 7 points, 3 matches left between Rovers and Shrews. A win for Rovers on Tuesday will secure promotion, essentially making the last 2 matches test matches for fringe players. If you were to tell me that Rovers were to finish the...

Not claiming to be an expert, but this is what it says on the FL website: 1.4 A Reporting Period is the period over which a Championship Club is assessed for the purpose of the Fair Play Requirement. For each Season the Reporting Period is (subject to Rule 2.2 or Rule 2.3) the immediately preceding...

gibbons typically are in every poll, so their record would not be as good. However, I have not checked arable farming.

Also a fancy statistic for everyone: Each time an option with 'Nordic Bakeware' is in the poll, Rovers have won 3-0 (Wimbledon), 2-0 (Rotherham, Bury), 1-0 (Gillingham, Southend), 3-1 (Shrewsbury, Peterborough), 2-1 (MK Dons), drew 1-1 (Northampton), 2-2 (Oldham, Wigan), and lost to no one. Making R...

Re: Blackburn v Peterborough, Thur 19 April 2018, KO 18:45
A YC celebration? I got to see that!
Glad they took over and won the match. The first half was starting to get really bad, a lot of Peterborough shots on goal, but Raya was huge to keep a couple of them out, especially that free kick save.

Re: Blackburn v Peterborough, Thur 19 April 2018, KO 18:45
We look so uninspiring. Looks like they can't be bothered to win this match. Plus, Peterborough are playing to win. And the only thing stopping then right now is Raya

However, his marauding run from box to box was pretty sweet. If he was able to do that more often and take risks offensively, he would be better. But heading apparently isn't his strong skill.

Re: Bristol ROVERS v Blackburn ROVERS, Sat 14 April 2018, KO 15:00
Something to be said about a last minute equalizer being scored. Didn't get to see the match because I was at work, but a bit disappointed. Glad Blackburn still came away with a point, but it seems goal scoring and creativity is drying up. Evans came off at half time, was it injury? Possibly good ti...

Re: Bristol ROVERS v Blackburn ROVERS, Sat 14 April 2018, KO 15:00
The big 2 matches I see between Shrews and Rovers are Peterborough and Charlton. Both are attempting to secure a playoff position, so I expect a hard match no matter what. I feel those 2 matches will define whether or not Shrewbury or Blackburn will get promoted.

So doing the calculations for the final 5 matches of the season, Rovers need to finish 3-2-0 at the minimum to get promoted. Shrewsbury have to win all 5 matches in that scenario. Should be interesting last set of matches.

Re: The US University Athletics Problem
"The student athletes do not get paid past tuition, room and board being paid for. " That's still a pretty healthy sum of being paid, though, compared to walk on students? Not necessarily. Take my alma mater for example, Youngstown State. Tuition plus board for a year is earmarked around $20,000. T...
