Re: Carabao Cup Blackburn v Burnley, Wed 23 August 2017, 19:45

This was a good experience for the players. I hope they don't chase the game around as much for MK, really need to learn from the tape against Burnley and see how they can use it.

Re: Carabao Cup Blackburn v Burnley, Wed 23 August 2017, 19:45

I don't know why but I hope we really win this. We shouldn't need extra stress of more games in our schedule, but I just want to beat Burnley.

Re: Bradford v Blackburn, Sat 19 August 2017, 15:00

Nice 1-0 victory, playing 4 at the back. Unfortunately Nyambe did not play, nor did Graham. I'll take the points any way we can get them.

Re: Bradford v Blackburn, Sat 19 August 2017, 15:00

I think Leutwiler is a good choice to start. He was a number 1 goalkeeper over at Shrewbury, so might as well see what he has to offer now, rather than later.

Re: Bradford v Blackburn, Sat 19 August 2017, 15:00

I might be really negative if Nyambe plays centreback again. Or if we play 5 at the back. It's not like we have a stellar right wing back to throw out there, or 2 other centreback that can play up field like Mulgrew. I think Mulgrew would be excellent in a defensive midfield position, something like...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Doncaster Rovers Sat 12 Aug 2017, 15:00

I've decided to nerd out on ya'll (I blame you Waco, but I work with a couple Texans so I already caught Texan) and go do some fancy pants stats on the 79/80 season. First 23 matches, Rovers went 8-7-8, 31 points, 22 goals scored, 21 goals scored against sitting 12th . Second 23 matches, Rovers went...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Doncaster Rovers Sat 12 Aug 2017, 15:00

I'm not worrying too much as Bolton had a rough start to life in league 1 also last season before finishing second. Quite obvious 3 at the back isn't going to work and that like most young players Raya is going to be prone to the odd crazy mistake like their third. Disappointing for sure. It's demo...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Doncaster Rovers Sat 12 Aug 2017, 15:00

And that's the game right there with Raya making a blunder. Might as wells do a review. First, Nyambe is not a central defender. He thrives at right back. Second, 3 centreback system is not working. Third, except Feeney and Conway, we don't have any true wingers. Fourth, Doncaster knew the whole mat...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Doncaster Rovers Sat 12 Aug 2017, 15:00

I like Caddis' versatility, but he is not a week in, week out starting right mid. I really think they are playing 5 in the back, or 3, I have no fucking clue what formation this is. All I know is it looks chaotic.

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Doncaster Rovers Sat 12 Aug 2017, 15:00

I agree we need points now, but I don't think right now is the time over analyze things. We did well against Coventry, showing we can score goals. I would like to chalk it up to first match jitters.

Blackburn Rovers v Doncaster Rovers Sat 12 Aug 2017, 15:00

Like in the other pollness thread, this is Blackburn's first home match of the regular season. A win will be necessary to show the fans how serious this squad is to gain promotion.

Re: Defending.

I've noticed by your posts over the years, long before I came on board here, you rarely comment on anything going on with the team, transfers, coaching, etc. You would rather condemn or condescend on other posters. Fine. I don't need you to follow Blackburn Rovers. Congrats, mrblackbat, its obvious...
