My own speculation is whether a decision has been made on what VAR is and isn't used for, so for example for penalties and red cards I think it isn't going to be used and has been already for just penalties. Whilst both incidents on Kane were very obvious penalties I suspect the fear is if you star...

Re: England Squad

Well the ref last night failed to enforce the ten yard rule on a freekick, running off instead and waving for Trippier to take the freekick despite a Tunisian standing over the ball so I think "shit ref" is definitely in play here....

Re: England Squad

I honestly don't get the point if that's what they're going to do. The refereeing last night was god awful anyway; the bit near the end where their guy was just standing in front of the ball at a freekick was just comedy.

Re: Where are they now?

I always thought he was an asshole. Like the time he ran the length of the pitch to tell his own fans to shove it after being criticised for whatever it was. Money grabbing, I think. Then went and left for West Ham after claiming he wanted Champions League football....

Re: Where are they now?

Yet going back to the early to mid nineties, Sweden were a dominant force. Something must have changed?

Re: The Blackburn Rovers 'We Are Going Up' Celebration Thread

Well I don't really get why all the teams don't play each other home and away in American systems for a start.....

Re: The Blackburn Rovers 'We Are Going Up' Celebration Thread

It's very tough on Shrewsbury, and another example of why the playoffs really suck in terms of fairness.

Re: The Computer Games Thread

I've not tried the career mode yet; just a few of the tutorials (up to and returning from orbit) and a few piss abouts in the sandbox mode.

Re: The Computer Games Thread

Anyone play Kerbal Space Program? Just doing the tutorials at the moment, which have obviously been designed to make rocket science seem really easy.....

I'm sure when I start trying to do my own they'll all crash immediately!

Think it's going to end up being quite the time sink....

Re: Cycling

I like Tom Dumoulin, I liked his response after the Cavendish incident several years ago, and like that he's always been in very transparent teams. Did you ever watch Clean Spirit, theadore? Based on the Argos Shimano team at the 100th tour with Kittel and Degenkolb as leads. Has some interesting in...
