Re: The Computer Games Thread

Yarp, it was amazing; right up until they stopped bothering programming it or developing the story.... If they really do it right, will be a great game. The haunted house in the original remains one of the creepiest gaming experiences I've had alongside the creepy girl in FEAR and the face huggers i...

Re: Brexit....or in.

Another thought that occurred to me, given the cost of living in the UK, there's something odd if demand for our exports in general is highly elastic based on price. If NI farmers don't feel they can compete with Irish imports if they are allowed tariff free, how do they manage at the moment? It's ...

Re: Brexit....or in.

I had, some reason my post didn't go up. Estimated cost of 3.4 billion to the treasury. Was also listening to a very interesting set of interviews with Northern Irish beef farmers around the changes to tariffs but that due to the NI border being left open it's a back door for importing protected goo...

Re: The VAR again!!!

As I saw it, the main bone of contention was that the shot was going well over the bar until it hit the player. I've seen a few pundits saying that, and surely it shouldn't matter at all. You could slice a shot towards the corner flag and if a defender handles it in the area on the way it would sti...

Re: General Election

Yep, Germany and Japan were the ultimate winners. The amount of resource put into both countries after WW2 in order to prevent repeating the bitterness from the reparations of WW1 & subsequently WW3, was astounding. Completely set up both countries to be major players on the world stage. Oh, is that...

Re: To settle disputes - OLDEST TEAMS

Or you could simply use the wiki page. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_football_clubs_in_England_and_Wales_by_year_formed And there's still plenty of dispute to be had. Were Stoke formed in 1863 or 1868? And were either of those Stoke City anyway? Were Notts Coubty the same Nottingham Footba...

Re: General Election

I think calling him a villain will upset a lot of people, though. Probably not wise for someone in politics.

His prior answer also shows that he's not really suited to politics as well. ;)
