Re: FA Cup

Got himself a few clean sheets and we haven't conceded too many while he's been there. The defenders are probably responsible for that more than him but he still has to do his job for us to win. Anyway, neither here nor there. My point was that we have really good depth at 'keeper.

Made his debut at 16. Clearly, going to be the best player of all time :mygod:

Re: Anthony Annan

For old time's sake:
I reckon he would have been better for us than Andrews/Grella by a mile (not difficult at all). He definitely hasn't become the player that I was so certain he would. I blame Essien...

Re: Rovers v Doncaster, Sat 11th Jan 2014, 3pm

I've often wondered why managers seem to be almost scared to drop a keeper. surely, if competition is such a vital thing, that applies to keepers too I used to wonder why we were so intent playing Robbo regardless of the form he was in.

Strange request. Drawing attention to the posts he wanted deleted (that had probably already been forgotten) seems counter-productive. :-?

Re: Gaining experience...

Well, what I was trying to say was that just because you hear that a 16 year old has got a lot of potential, it doesn't mean they're going to be a first team regular a couple of years later. Occasionally you see a teenager develop quickly enough to break into the main side, but most are 21/22 befor...

Re: David Goodwillie

I reckon it's in his best interests to move somewhere where he can start fresh. Every little bit we can free up helps. I reckon it's better for all concerned if he leaves.

Re: Blackburn Rovers Best XI (Season 2013/14)

Kean, Henley, Dann, Hanley, Spurr, Evans, Cairney, Marshall, King, Dunn, Rhodes

Sadly no room for Taylor or Gestede in the starting 11 for me.

Re: Venkys Thread - Moans, yawns, hysteria. It's all here

My two cents: Given how much money Venky's/V. H. Group have and the size of their companies, I can't see how they would ever have seen Rovers as anything to make money out of. Presumably they did due diligence on us and saw our books. I reckon all they wanted us for was publicity and as a Billionair...

Re: FA Cup

Howdy AR. Been a while! I agree with Robinson, but perhaps he can pass on experience to make our younger keepers better. I still maintain that Kean hasn't done enough wrong to lose his spot. I've wondered about that. Every match report I read always mentioned how well he played, then a couple of do...

Re: Rovers v Doncaster, Sat 11th Jan 2014, 3pm

Seems to me that, apart from a very select few (van der Sar for one), all keepers in England who start looking like they could be the real deal lose their head. Could be because I only really follow British clubs...

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

Rochina has always looked technically incredible and loaded with attacking instinct to me. I've had massive hopes for him since he first joined and I still think he could develop into a quality Premier League player. Hearing Bowyer say that we'd have to sell Rhodes if we received an "unbelievable bi...

Yeah, fair enough. On the plus side though, it would allow them maneuverability with regard to using technology.

Speaking of youngsters, where is Robbie Cotton? He was knocking on the first team door a while back and now he's nowhere. Anyone have any info on this?

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

Lucas was a greedy prick when he left. He really showed his colours when he snubbed Liverpool for West Ham for more money (if my memory is right). I wouldn't have him with us even on a pay as you play. :wanker:
