He was a brilliant man and the right one to lead us at that time. But I don’t think villain is too strong a word, even if I think it McDonnell is an idiot to use it. Churchill’s ruthlessness undoubtedly helped us win the war, but it also accomplished many other things , none of which should be swept...

We never had an agreement with Seaborne, so when it was reported that we were a backer, that was not the case.

When the Department for Transport announced the contracts in December, in documents outlining the agreements it stated that an "unforeseeable" situation of "extreme urgency" meant there was no time for the contracts to be put out to tender - the standard practice for public procurements. :lol: Plen...
