I was living in Manchester the last time some cretin bombed it, we narrowly avoided it with a last minute decision to stay in bed rather than go shopping that morning. Horrible feeling.

Our thoughts are with Mancunians today.

A worker doing a full-time 37.5 hours a week on the National Living Wage with the standard tax code will pay £625 a year in Income Tax. There's scope there to give them more...
