Re: contracts

We're still governed by League One FFP until the end of the season even if we secure promotion. That version seems to be weighted towards penalising wages rather than transfer fees - so we could fall foul of that if we start handing out contracts too soon.

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

I'm inclined to think that much of Shrewsbury's success this year has been due to Abu Ogogo, their decline in form coincides with his absence through suspension (albeit for fighting) and a ligament injury. They're just not the same team without him. He's a product of Arsenal's academy and he's out of...

The boo boys will of course take credit for the improvement in the second half.

Re: Blackburn v Peterborough, Thur 19 April 2018, KO 18:45

Without getting too far ahead of ourselves I'd also add that we haven't had a single season in the Championship since the initial relegation where we didn't have a mess off the pitch with the club and divisions, anger and discontent amongst the fans. There’s a large chunk of fans who have settled d...

I think it was the demise of "we shall be victorious", personally.

WE SHALL BE VICTORIOUS! :hyper:

Though this was the one remaining fixture I had marked as particularly tricky. :paranoid:

Re: War with Russia then?

The US says 105 missiles were launched and it believes none were intercepted by Syrian defences. It says Syria's chemical weapons programme has been set back years.

The Russians, however, say 71 missiles were shot down by Syrian systems - many of them older Soviet-era defences.

Re: War with Russia then?

Putin strikes me as power hungry. There’s no gain to be had from a world war for anybody - so I agree, very unlikely. I think the only chance of one happening is if Trump’s ego leads him into an incredibly stupid boardroom bluff and pushes Putin into a corner.

I think we just need to take one match at a time. Looking ahead just shifts the focus from where it needs to be right now.
