Re: Blackburn Rovers v Ipswich Town, Sat 19 Jan 2019, KO 15:00

A job well done yesterday by Rovers and if the goal post had been a couple of more inches wider the winning margin would have been greater. I kind of feel sorry for the Ipswich fans as they seem to be going through what Rovers fans went through two seasons ago. I wonder how many now regret asking fo...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Ipswich Town, Sat 19 Jan 2019, KO 15:00

Ipswich have pressed the panic button in the current transfer window signing several players including twice former Rover Alan Judge. Their summer signings that were familiar to Rovers from last season have failed to deliver. Nolan and Nsiala from Shrewsbury, Gwion Edwards from Peterboro who played ...

Re: FA Cup: Blackburn Rovers v Newcastle, Tue 15th Jan, KO 19:45

Who cares about the result. Rovers put up a good show and took a premier league team to a replay and gave them two goals start and could have won the game. Unfortunate how things finished but sometimes you get lucky sometimes you don't. There is no blame at all on the Dack miss. He was not well befo...

Re: Sack race

Against Birmingham, yes. They'd got into the playoffs and were resting their team. That's up to them. The league and other teams are not in a position to be making value judgements on who a manager should be playing in which match. Nice != screws their own team to help a different one. Sam Allardyc...

David Wagner has gone. Nice bloke.
Wasnt he accused of fielding an under strength team when Rovers were facing relegation?

I have suspected all along that Nuttall and Armstrong were Rovers best chance of scoring. Look what happens when you substitute that waste of time Dack :D

Re: Millwall V Blackburn Rovers, Sat 12 Jan, KO 17:30

Rovers have proven after a return to the championship that they are good enough to stay in this league. It will be nice to keep a ten point or more gap to those who will be playing League One next season so we can have a stress free second half to the season. No real activity in the transfer market ...

Re: Sack race

He's been replaced by Nathan Jones from Luton. I am kind of surprised at this appointment. Yesterday Stoke were rumoured to be after ex Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic but he is unavailable which was something to do with this compensation agreement with Fulham. Nathan Jones gained promotion with L...

Re: FA Cup: Newcastle v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 5 Jan, KO 17:30

The draw for the forth round will be around 10pm tonight. Dependant on who Rovers will be potentially playing in that draw it may dictate what kind of team Tony Mowbray will select for the Newcastle replay.

Re: FA Cup: Newcastle v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 5 Jan, KO 17:30

Its not often i say this regarding cup games but i think Rovers should go all out to try and win this one. Last season Rovers whimpered out against Hull in the third round. Given that promotion back to the championship was a real possibility last season it was the right thing to do to field an under...

Re: Sheffield United v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 29th Dec 2018, KO 15:00

Thanks Dan. I totally agree on the whole Rovers haven't had value for money regarding players who where born outside the British Isles. There has been the odd gem of course with Pedersen, Samba, Tugay, Santa Cruz (the first time around) and McCarthy. I just dont think Rovers have had a decent scouti...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v West Bromwich Albion

Interesting fact that Rovers have not lost a NYD fixture at home now since 1977. That was a defeat to Brian Clough's Nottingham Forest. Really glad for todays win especially after a bad end to 2018. Now what can Rovers do against Newcastle.

Re: Sheffield United v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 29th Dec 2018, KO 15:00

One thing Rovers do not seem to have is access to decent foreign players. Apart from David Raya who has been in England since being a teenager i cannot recall without investigating the last time Rovers brought in a player from overseas. And by that i mean Europe and further afield. I would not call ...

Re: Sheffield United v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 29th Dec 2018, KO 15:00

It has been a horrible run of fixtures against the better teams in the league. It is not fair to be too critical of the players and the manager. That is what supporters of other clubs would like us to do. For me Rovers have had a very testing month where the quality of the opposition have been able ...
