Re: Middlesborough v Blackburn Rovers, Sat, 08 Dec 2018, KO 15:00

I would have settled for a point before the game so i am happy with that. Good to know we can perform at promotion hopefuls grounds and talk about why we should have won but didnt. With the fixture list Rovers have in December its an optimistic view to have.

Re: Middlesborough v Blackburn Rovers, Sat, 08 Dec 2018, KO 15:00

The general expectation for this game would be for a Middlesboro win. So far this season Villa, Derby, Stoke, Leeds and West Brom have failed to live up to that expectation. Let us hope we can add Boro to that list. The other list of Bristol City, Sheffield United, Swansea City, PNE and Wigan is the...

Re: FA Cup

If Newcastle are tempted to rest some players and Rovers dont then i can see Rovers having a chance. We beat them twice in the Rovers relegation season so even when we are shit we still win. The BBC should have this as a televised game.

Re: Sack race

Mark Hughes could take over at Man Utd? He's already got quite a collection of red and white ties?

Re: Sack race

Dont care about Hughes. Dont care about Southampton. Hopefully no one will tell their new manager about Harrison Reed.

Re: Preston North End v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 24 Nov 2018, KO 15:00

Mowbrays comments after the game. He said if we are looking for excuses then both Graham and Mulgrew have not trained in the last two weeks and Lenihan has done a lot of travelling on international duty. Mowbray defended his tactics and although chose not to be too hard on the players still placed t...

Re: Preston North End v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 24 Nov 2018, KO 15:00

I was driving home last week and found myself listening to radio Lancashire and in particular what was going on at Accrington Stanley. It would seem their promotion party started last May and has been going on ever since. They are enjoying their most successful term in a lifetime and they are making...

Re: Sack race

The money is good but i am glad i am not a football manager. I can see why Paul Hurst brought in Nsiala, Nolan and Edwards from League one football. He also brought in Ellis Harrison also from league one who Tony Mowbray was said to have wanted. Well he gave these players a chance and it was Hurst w...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Leeds United, Sat 20 Oct 2018, KO 12:00

Leeds is a city in Yorkshire and it is only right they have a strong following. Just like Newcastle they are the only club in that city unlike Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Glasgow, Bristol, Sheffield and London. What comes with plenty of following comes plenty of expectation and in the case of...

Re: Bolton v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 6 Oct 2018, KO 17:30

Bolton were the home team and failed to take that advantage. Phil Parkinson said they dominated the game. No you didnt Phil. Rovers started the game better and got in front. You either go looking for a second or you play a bit more conservatively. Rovers did the latter although they do need to impro...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Sheffield United, Wed 3 Oct 2018, KO 19:45

Sheffield United won the league one championship the season before last and made an impressive start in the championship last year. That is something we would have liked to see Rovers emulate but we are not that far off.

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Nottingham Forest, Sat, 29 Sept 2018, KO 15:00

Bad defending to blame. Rodwell should have tried to show him down the outside rather than let him run into the middle. You stick out a foot and the attacker is going to fall over it.

Re: Stoke v Blackburn Rover, Sat, 22 Sept 2018, KO 15:00

Very good win. Stoke will probably say they were unlucky but when you are three down with twelve minutes to play you deserve to be beaten. Its difficult to see why Rovers neatly blew it. Stoke got one back and then some substitutions in quick succession might have disturbed the concentration. Then a...

Re: Derby County v Blackburn Rovers, Tue, 18 Sept 2018, KO 19:45

Good performance tonight and job well done. Rovers had to exorcise the last away defeat at Bristol and they stood up to the challenge. Tony Mowbray got his substitutions right with the introduction of Bennett and Reed when Derby were pressing hard for goal. Graham for Conway sounds like it was enfor...

Re: Derby County v Blackburn Rovers, Tue, 18 Sept 2018, KO 19:45

Mulgrew out due to illness and DG starts from the bench. Williams in for Mulgrew and Craig Conway comes into the team and captains the team.
