Re: Nottingham Forest v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 13 April 2019, KO 15:00

If this stays how it is and we win, I hope it puts into perspective the run of losses and how fine the margins are in this league. Rovers have been dreadful today; Bell and Raya have contrived to give Forest every possible opportunity to score. We’ve played better and lost many a time but at no poin...

Re: Nottingham Forest v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 13 April 2019, KO 15:00

Half-time, Rovers up 1-0. Solid showing so far, Bell is being attacked down the left big time, but he is able to take care of some it. Joe Rothwell, wow. If Rovers didn't put up the goals of the season already, that one was an instant contender. Those darting forward runs from midfield is the thing...

Re: Birthday Bash Boogaloo: Blackburn Rovers v Wigan Athletic, Tue 12 March 2019, KO 19:45

Not a great performance from Rovers, fortunately Wigan were dire. Mcgloire's debut wasn't perfect but was good enough. I'll have him over Williams any day. He just needs to dominate the opposition a tad more, I'm sure that will come, especially if he plays alongside Mulgrew or Lenihan. I lost count...

Am I wrong in thinking Nyambe has actually played centre back quite a lot though as an Academy player? I mean the only attribute he really has for being on the right is speed, because he can’t really cross and he’s not a natural dribbler.

Re: General Election

Yep, Germany and Japan were the ultimate winners. The amount of resource put into both countries after WW2 in order to prevent repeating the bitterness from the reparations of WW1 & subsequently WW3, was astounding. Completely set up both countries to be major players on the world stage. Oh, is tha...

Re: General Election

He was a brilliant man and the right one to lead us at that time. But I don’t think villain is too strong a word, even if I think it McDonnell is an idiot to use it. Churchill’s ruthlessness undoubtedly helped us win the war , but it also accomplished many other things , none of which should be swe...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Middlesborough, Sun 17 Feb 2019, KO 13:00

I'd have persevered with Scott Wharton at ch. One criticism I have of Mowbray is that he's reluctant to give our youngsters a chance. If Smallwood hadn't been injured, Travis would have been out on loan by now, Other teams seem happy to blood youngsters from time to time - surely we must have some ...

Re: Brentford v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 2 Feb 2019, KO 15:00

Thor, Brereton did nothing wrong when he came on and was one of the few players still looking to get the ball moving and get in behind. I’d go as far to say he was our second best performer after Armstrong. I also think he’s a better than Nuttall, who has the potential to be an excellent 6 yard box ...

Re: Willem Tomlinson

Shame that. I think he’ll be decent for someone at this level, and we may regret it. Judge mk2 Was going to say the exact same thing. Its possible, but as I gather (albeit from the internet) much of Rovers reluctance to play Tomlinson stemmed from his professionalism. I don’t recall that ever being...

Re: Kasey Palmer

Not particularly surprising and don't think he'll be hugely missed. I'd always rather see Rothwell ahead of him anyway. I'm sure I read somewhere that Chelsea were always likely to review this loan as weren't contributing as much financially. crazy to think what they are paying him for the lad to p...
