Re: Formica & Rochina

I don't quite understand why people keep slating two players who've hardly featured in the first-team, if at all. Has Formica even started a game yet? :-?

Re: Steve Kean arrested for drunk driving

If you shoot a gun at someone's head then your intention is to kill them. A driver who has more than the legal limit to drink before he enters his car is very rarely (if ever, maybe?) thinking about running someone over and leaving their corpse in the road. I'm not going to disagree that drink drivi...

Re: Films that are ace

I watched a movie called 'I Am Number Four' the other night. I had no idea what it was before I legally downloaded it, only that it was pretty new. Turns out it's yet more unexplained sci-fi tripe with no science in it. I've mentioned before I'm not a sci-fi kinda guy, but when I do see it I'd prefe...

Re: Steve Kean arrested for drunk driving

Drink driving is potentially worse than domestic violence, you mean? Not every person who drinks and drives ends up injuring someone. It's a stupid thing to do, no doubt about it, but domestic violence always ends in someone being hurt, hence 'violence'. If someone drinks three pints and gets pulled...

Re: Rovers squad, Keep or Sell?

Sure, there's heroes in football and heroes in everyday life. I'm not gonna say "Santa Cruz isn't a hero because he didn't save a child with leukemia". That'd be beyond pedantic. Jack Walker is a hero. Dalglish is a hero, as are Shearer, Hendry, Parkes, Friedel, etc. Santa Cruz is just a Bellamy. I ...

Re: Steve Kean arrested for drunk driving

It seems like the issue is that they spoke to each other a little too much.

Re: Rovers squad, Keep or Sell?

How exactly is Santa Cruz a "hero"? I rate him, don't get me wrong, and he did well for the club for a year or so, but a hero? No, sir. Not even a fraction of legend.

Re: Films that are ace

Eric Bana is ace, although it still messes with my head that he's almost Bananaman, and is Eric before he turns into Bananaman.

Cat Blanket isn't my cup of tea. I find her extremely irritating. Anything The Chems do is usually awesome. I'll look out for the release of this soundtrack.

Re: Paul Ince appointed as New Rovers Manager

Because his original contract didn't have a clause? Because signing a new contract adds value to the player? You just bypass those possibilities? And come on, Roque has had fuck-all to work with this year, he's been feeding off scraps compared to last year when he had Bentley's crosses to feed off. ...

Re: Paul Ince appointed as New Rovers Manager

I agree with you, but I didn't hold anything against Bentley, either. He's still one of my fave players, even if he is a conceited shit. It's not as if we didn't know he was a big-headed twat when he was here. He's been like that since he was at Arsenal, that's why they let him go. I can see him bei...
