Re: Rovers v Sunderland

Playing players out of position is never going to work in the long term. We had a centre half playing in midfield , a left back in central midfield, a right back at left back, a centre midfielder playing on the right wing and a joker upfront. Then we brought Derbyshire on and played him right wing ...

Re: Matt Jansen back at Rovers...

I can't really see what the problem is - it's not costing the club anything to have Jansen train with them - apart from a little hot water for the shower. I also see no problem in Jansen having a break from football for a few years. Plenty of people have career breaks these days, and they don't get ...

Re: Blackburn v Chelsea

It's a channel 5 documentary - When Being Unable to Stop a Goal is a Clanger. Can you rephrase it so the acronym is amusing please? There's no point in arguing with him Rob. Matt made his mind up before Robbo even kicked a ball in anger he wasn't going to be upto the job. Even if Robbo presented hi...

Re: Blackburn v Chelsea

however the blunder fro teh first goal is still a worry... despite the obvious quality you never get the impression that there is a safe pair of hands in the box. What blunder??? There was a massive deflection on the shot and he was going to other way. There was nothing he could've done about it. A...

Re: Blackburn v Chelsea

Robinson was excellent throughout I thought - and there was no contact with Anelka for the claimed penalty as far as I can see on the replay. He was - and in conditions where many goalkeepers would've faltered Which is why i'm slightly disappointed that we didn't test Petr Cech a bit more. Robinson...

Re: Blackburn v Chelsea

I agree AR. Did any of these moaning old cunts really expect anything different today? I'm surprised we only conceded two. Just gotta make sure we get back to back wins after this. Shouldn't be a problem. ;) Robinson was awesome today. Was really unlucky with both goals, and made 5 or 6 good saves....

Re: Rovers v Boro, Saturday 25/10, 5:30pm

I think that's a good shout. Emerton and Warnock have played a wing-back role in the past but have often left the two central defenders exposed. If played correctly, it wouldn't leave us any more exposed that a 4-4-2 formation. However, there is a lot of work that would need to go into getting a te...

Re: Rovers v Boro, Saturday 25/10, 5:30pm

I know I'm probably going to get slaughtered for this this wacky idea but we seem to have big problems on the wings one being we don't have a right sided one and left one seems to want to be on the x factor, why play a system with wingers? why not play 3 central midfielder's and play benni, santa a...

Spurs sack Ramos and appoint Redknapp

Apparently Pompey are getting £5m out of the deal.

Re: Rovers v Boro, Saturday 25/10, 5:30pm

Totally agree with helloween we have to start playing players in they're real positions, why buy andrews if ince does not think he is better in midfield then warnock? ollson though shows some promise is not yet up to first team standard. One good thing is mccarthy looks fitter then he has for a lon...

Re: Rovers v Boro, Saturday 25/10, 5:30pm

I thought we did ok today - the team Ince put out dealt with Boro very adequately, and we created some really good chances. When Ince brought McCarthy on and we went to a more regular 4-4-2, we seemed to be a more predictable, and a little more insecure at the back. I thought there was lots of posit...
