Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

Personally I'd like to push the boat out and try to get Emnes back.

Re: 17/18 fixtures

Trouble is, I feel quite confident that we'll get promotion at the first attempt. Just like I thought we wouldn't get rtelegated :(

Re: Where are they now?

Can't help thinking that if Bowyer had stayed, he'd have persisted with Lowe and Henley, Mowbray has had the guts to make changes that I don't think Bowyer would have had the heart to make.

Re: Scott Wharton.

Mulgrew has said on many occasions that his preferred position is centre back, and Lenihan also seems better at cb. Perhaps people are forgetting that we have the attacking force that is Corry Evans to come back.

Re: Scott Wharton.

In the odd games he's had for the first team I thought he was excellent and should have been persevered with. If our regular cb pairing is going to be Mulgrew/Lenihan , Wharton would provide good cover, especially as Charlie tends to be a bit injury prone.

Re: Relegation Stay or Go

I would be most interested to see if Gallagher and Emnes are retained by their respective clubs. As Emnes couldn't command a regular first team place in a side relegated from the Championship, I can hardly see a queue of clubs waving cheque books. The lad said he enjoyed playing at Ewood - as did Gal...

Re: Relegation Stay or Go

I've never been a Lowe fan, but I'd have thought he was good enough for Div 1. My main criticism was that he should never have been made captain - we need a driving, inspirational force as cap - Mulgrew would be my choice if we can hold on to him.
