Re: Michael Silberbauer

Rovers have a decent enough squad at the mo. Rovers still have Brett Emerton, Steven Read and Ryan Nelson all to come back in the squad soon. With the editon of Salgado that should be enough for the time being.

Re: Rovers v Man City, 15/08/09, 15:00

I'm all for a bit of banter with other teams fans but to be honest what i've read on here as got boring :bored: I thought this site was for all things rovers?.....Rovers have definately progressed under Sam. Ok it maybe direct at times but at least Rovers showed yesterday that they can compete again...

Re: Rovers v Man City, 15/08/09, 15:00

It might be a bit of a blessing that Rovers match with fulham is postponed. Hopefully that will give Rovers a chance to bring Nikola Kalinic up to speed and give Ryan Nelson a chance to be fit. Also Salgado might be in the squad soon and maybe Andy Van Der Meyde.

Re: Rovers v Man City, 15/08/09, 15:00

Rovers on the whole did ok against a team who should finish in the top four this season. Although the result wasn't what rovers wanted rovers did compete well. It would have been nice to see Shay Given kept a bit more busy but i thought the City defence was very good rather than Rovers attack being ...

Re: Carling Cup 2nd Round: Gillingham v Rovers

I do agree the objective is to win things. But to go all out in the cups and play your best players against the likes of Gillingham isn't a priority. Premier league status is what its all about. Lose that and the only thing to look forward to would be an opening day fixture against Doncaster say and...

Hard Season Ahead

BFS as made comments today on Sky sports football that its going to be a hard season ahead. He seems to suggest that he will be happy with mid table. One of the reason's why are the players that have left. He lists RSC who frankly did nothing last season. Matt derbyshire who of course didn't leave bu...

Re: Carling Cup 2nd Round: Gillingham v Rovers

To do well in the premiership is Rovers objective. The cups are secondary. If rovers do beat Gillingham it doessn't mean anything unless you go all the way and win the cup. If rovers get beat yes there will be a few red faces but not for long. I seem to remember something similar when Coventry came ...

Re: andy vd meyde

Rothen is a left winger true but to fork out 2 million for him would be wasteful when Rovers are ok in that position and need to improve the defence if anything.

"Who's really not fit"?????..........Well Katie Price isn't fit anymore. Katie Price is Jordan, right? Anymore??? :-? If ever I need to think of a woman I'd really not want to wake up to see smiling back it me, I always go for Jo Brand. Although I doubt anyone would need persuading that she's not r...

We know hence posting in the AVDM thread!! :numpty; You know that and i know that but some on here don't......only trying to be helpful!! :numpty;.... It would seem Sam is after a right winger what with the interest in Jerome Rothen. Van der Meyde is a free agent and Rothen would cost about 2millio...

Re: Rovers v Man City, 15/08/09, 15:00

Bantering aside it would be nice to see a different club in the mix after the honours this year. Apart from City villa will be better and possibly Everton. United, Chelsea, Arsenal not as good as last season. Opening day fixtures are famously unpredictable. Rovers went to Goodison last year and beat...
