Re: blackburn Rovers v Blackpool Sat March 10

I think the odds are a tad generous tbh. 5-2 would be my idea of a price to lay.

Re: blackburn Rovers v Blackpool Sat March 10

If you fancy Rovers, Wigan and Shrews all to win, Ladbrokes are offering about 4-1 for the trble, But one of them won't win

blackburn Rovers v Blackpool Sat March 10

Rovers, Wigan and Shrewsbury all appear to have winnable home matches on Saturday - but one of the three will slip up - the question is, which one?

Re: Blackburn v Wigan Athletic, Sunday 4th March 2018, KO 12 high noon

Raya is without doubt a great shot stopper, but he's weak in the goal mouth rough and tumbles, and his kicking is poor. He is young and should improve, but will he learn swiftly enough and be ready for the Championship?
I'm not sure, but happy to trust TM's judgement.

Re: Blackburn v Wigan Athletic, Sunday 4th March 2018, KO 12 high noon

We kept giving away free kicks just outside the penalty area - one led to the goal. Something that Mowbray will have to work on.
After today I expect Wigan to enter the diving championships at the next Olympics, they are assured of a gold.

If we win today they will never catch us up. If we don't it's back in the melting pot.

Re: Blackburn v Wigan Athletic, Sunday 4th March 2018, KO 12 high noon

The weather in Lancs today is dry, sunny and not all that cold. The M6 and M65 are clear, but don't know about local roads in Blackburn.

Re: Where are they now?

I've been watching Rovers since 1-1 draw against Leicester in 56/57. Matt Woods was great but I stick by what I said about Samba.
To be even more controversial I'll state that Le Saux was the best full back I ever saw in Rovers colours (and while I'm at it - Friedel the best goalkeeper.

Re: Wimbledon v Blackburn, Tue, 27 Feb 2018, KO 19:45

Do I detect a morsel of over confidence? If the Shrews win their game in hand they are one point behind us, almost 50/50 who finishes highest between us and them.
We've been on a stupendous run but we can't win every match. Hopefully neither can they.

Tough match - we're certainly not having it all our own way, plus Nyambe has an early yellow. Time to dig in.

Re: Wimbledon v Blackburn, Tue, 27 Feb 2018, KO 19:45

Matches these days are often called off due to the state of thew terraces and surrounding areas, irrespective of the condition of the pitch.
Health and Safety and fear of the compensation culture often rules.

Blackburn v Wigan Athletic, Sunday 4th March 2018, KO 12 noon

Can't tell you how much I detest these Friday/Sunday matches.
Sat 3pm kick offs at Ewood seem a rarity these days,
