Re: Ticket Prices

How do Rovers stand in the league table of ticket prices? I have a pal who supports Macclesfield and he paid more for non league football last year than I am paying for Championship soccer in 1918/19. Something which we should be grateful to Venkys for. Can't help thinking that if someone else bough...

Re: Blackburn v Oxford, Sat 5 May 2018, KO 17:30

Superb crowd yesterday, certainly put me in my place re forecasting a poorish attendance! I even called the numbers of Oxford fans wrong, Ah well, if we have a decent start to next season I suppose there's a fair chance of retaining a proportion of yesterday's crowd, personally I can't wait for the f...

Re: Blackburn v Oxford, Sat 5 May 2018, KO 17:30

Despite many optimistic forecasts, I can't help thinking there will not be a bumper crowd tonight. The main job has been done Lots of injuries The ludicrous kick off time. People on holiday Oxford won't be bringing many I really do hope I'm wrong - the lads deserve a rousing send off after this seas...

Re: The Blackburn Rovers 'We Are Going Up' Celebration Thread

I've got one of the long platform seats from Leyland station in my garden. Fully restored if a bit too bright. I often wonder how many locos that seat has seen

Re: Blackburn v Oxford, Sat 5 May 2018, KO 17:30

I think that while we still have a chance of winning the league title, Mowbray will play his strongest team. I would however give Travis a start, imo he's a far better attacking option than Evans.

Re: The Blackburn Rovers 'We Are Going Up' Celebration Thread

To avoid any further confusion, particularly to my self, I was talking about Scott Wharton. My somewhat pathetic excuse is that , well, I have been going to Ewood for near on 70 years. Whereas I can remember Douglas, Dobing, Dougan Vernon and Mcleod as an exceptional forward line, and before them Mo...

Re: The Blackburn Rovers 'We Are Going Up' Celebration Thread

Players coming through the youth system are the best possible value a football team can have. We seem to have a vintage crop with Nyambe, Houghton, Travis, Lenihan, Nuttall and Wharton either established or knocking on the door. It would be ludicrous to discard these lads because they are unproven i...

Re: Charlton v Blackburn, Sat 28 April 2018, KO 15:00

Couldn't agree more about Travis, he deserves a start. I'd also like to see Samuel have a start as cf. If Conway is injured we don't have a single fit recognised winger in the squad, a Mowbray priority, although of course we may have a couple of youngsters who may be given a chance. I don't follow t...

Re: Charlton v Blackburn, Sat 28 April 2018, KO 15:00

I think Caddis gives us a reasonable back up for Nyambe but I can't make my mind up about Samuel - the other starters against Charlton are dross and should go. Mowbray seems to like Evans so I expect him to stay. Samuel is a big powerful centre forward who has been asked to play on the wing. I reall...

Both
Mulgrew and Raya were struggling at the end of the Donny match - they may both get a rest, especially as Mulgrew will want to play next Saturday.
