Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

If a team made a £4m offer for Dack it would seem like a completely reasonable offer to be made from a potential buyer, I don't believe we'd sell him for that but my instinct wouldn't be to call it a laughable offer. Offering £500k would be laughable for example. Jack Marriot has gone to Derby for £...

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

This is a really pointless debate and I can't be bothered, I simply made a point on the basis of fan hyperbole which all things considered seemed fairly reasonable.

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

It's odd given the facts stated in my post, the subjective opinion of a fan writing the article is an opinion their entitled too. But the fact is we've come in with a 33% increase on previous interest of 3 other clubs, two of which are clubs with sizable stature in this division. It would also repre...

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

I wasn't having a go at anyone... Four different Championship clubs have independently lodged interest in Freeman below £5m. Given the scouting networks and general transfer market workings across clubs it suggests that that is a realistic valuation of the player, and QPR paid £350k 18 month...

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

We’ve bid 4m for Luke Freeman from QPR. Attacking midfielder. Late yesterday evening it was being reported that Blackburn Rovers had launched a laughable £4million bid for Queens Park Rangers midfielder Luke Freeman Very odd to say our bid is laughable given that there has been previous interest fr...

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

Well he scored 5 and got 12 assists last season. That’s pretty impressive. I guess the only thing that comes as an oddity is that he’d be in competition with Dack, Palmer and Rothwell. It’s nice to know we’ve got some cash to throw about but we really could use another winger and defender as well if...

Re: Adam Armstrong

More importantly... https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2018/august/its-an-amazing-feeling-says-arma/ We are just "great" apparently. You've let us down, you've let the club down, but most of all you've let yourself down Adam. In the LT he does saying signing here is huge and that it is a massive step in...

Re: Adam Armstrong

It was really important that we brought in another striker before the transfer window closed as it was the last major gap. Any further signings for me would be a bonus. Armstrong was terrific for us last season and can operate wider and centrally with pace. He's also worked linked very well with Dac...

Re: Ipswich Town v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 4 August 2018, KO 15:00

Disappointment at the end but still pleased with the positive result. It’s pleasing to see the mentality of the team has remained into this division. Responded so well to going behind early on and did enough to win the game. Also good to see Graham get off the mark straight away and Dack score in hi...

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

Will be really good if this does come through, he adds much needed pace to our attack and we know works will with this squad and Mowbray.

Re: Ipswich Town v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 4 August 2018, KO 15:00

I see your expected team for tomorrow but don't recognise many players. Really? The last time we played at Portman Road in January 2017 Lenihan, Mulgrew, Williams, Bennett and Graham all started the match with Raya and Nyambe on the bench  Smallwood played against Ipswich for Rotherham in th...
