Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

Still expecting that to be Sam Gallagher.

Re: Millwall V Blackburn Rovers, Sat 12 Jan, KO 17:30

I do agree that Bell has areas to improve upon particularly a bit more confidence going forward and his distribution and crossing. But I also think some of that might be tactical. But then I think he’s much more preferable to Williams who I actually think is more of a liability defensively. Defensiv...

Re: Millwall V Blackburn Rovers, Sat 12 Jan, KO 17:30

Great win after an uneventful 80 minutes. Very typical of a championship game as there was nothing between the teams for most of the match and could always go either way. But finally the first moment of real quality saw us take the lead. Brilliant one two with Travis and Armstrong. Then a quick fire...

Millwall V Blackburn Rovers, Sat 12 Jan, KO 17:30

Easy game to get to for me. Feels winnable on paper and certainly hoping for us to go there and get something, but then we've not always been great against the seemingly poorer sides in the league. Out of the current bottom 6 we've only beaten Bolton and that was a scrappy 0-1 with a number of draws...

Re: Sack race

Surprised it took Forest this long to can him, they love a sacking.

Re: Sack race

Yeah I was going to post something similar and draw comparisons to Hurst. His record at Luton is exceptional but yeah dealing with the expectation at Stoke and some much bigger name players on big money with a lot more ego. He is far from destined to fail but definitely a lot of challenges stepping ...

Re: Sack race

Rowett sacked at Stoke, that really is any of the remaining good will towards him as seemingly a promising young manager down the drain. He hasn't been great since the good work he did at Birmingham.

Re: Kasey Palmer

Not particularly surprising and don't think he'll be hugely missed. I'd always rather see Rothwell ahead of him anyway.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Chelsea were always likely to review this loan as weren't contributing as much financially.

Re: FA Cup: Newcastle v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 5 Jan, KO 17:30

I think irrespective of what happens I would anticipate Newcastle playing a similarly weakened side from the start as they're quite likely to lose against Chelsea this weekend then after the replay play Cardiff. I think Mowbray will go relatively strong regardless of what happens at Millwall, except...

Re: FA Cup: Newcastle v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 5 Jan, KO 17:30

Managed to watch the game, thought we did really well and probably just shaded it over 90 minutes. Our goal was excellent too. Unwanted replay really as I think we could easily be targeting 3 wins in the league with the upcoming fixtures and this will be shoehorned into the middle of that. Looking a...

Re: FA Cup: Newcastle v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 5 Jan, KO 17:30

Holding our own. Doesn’t look like Premiership v Championship in the slightest. Although that probably says more about Newcastle than us
