I heard we were signing Axel Witsel on a Bosman.
I thought it was £6 million?

Rovers to offer £6 million to Standard Liege for Axel Witsel. I heard it from "a source".

Re: Sack race

I'd suggest that applies to your prediction of them staying up too. If you can't say for certain who is going down then there isn't much chance you can predict everyone who is staying up ;)

There are pros and cons to both contract signings and loans.
Absolutely.

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

The loan signings are ALSO his signings

Is it really a surprise that the majority of players you can sign permanently for pennies or nothing are not as good as the ones available on loan from bigger clubs for just a few months?

Re: The Blackburn Rovers 'We Are Going Up' Celebration Thread

The PL only got them on loan though rather than buying them. And look where that got them!

Re: The Blackburn Rovers 'We Are Going Up' Celebration Thread

Strange the things that stick in your mind. i shan't forget a match against Bolton when Roberts collected the ball on the half way line, took it to the edge of the penalty area then cracked it in. Pity he didn't do it more often! It's been said many times, if Roberts had been a natural goal scorer ...

Or are mid-table after 15 games
Or are in the bottom half, 6 points outside the relegation zone, after 15 games.

Re: The Blackburn Rovers 'We Are Going Up' Celebration Thread

The bloke has done good work. The key thing is not to sack him if we finish mid table next season.

Think it's only a matter of time before vast majority of fans turn on Mowbray now.
Prophetic.

Also, why were we beating up Barney?
