This Rovers team is beginning to look very very good.
In League 1.
Indeed. A little caveat that dampens the enthusiasm.

Re: Blackburn v Walsall, Tue 30 Jan 2018, KO 19:45

Great result. Hard to believe our last loss was Oldham, way back in October. Payback in about 2 weeks, methinks. Season 1979/80 Rovers went nineteen league division three games unbeaten. Now known as league One Rovers stand only one game away from equaling that record. Back then Rovers eventually l...

Graham :hyper:

Should have loaned someone else really.
Definitely. If we had, we'd be contesting the Premier League title right now. :hyper:
But then we wouldn't have had Darth's bemusing Eisenhower comment... :hyper:

How many games are we unbeaten now?

Re: Blackburn v Walsall, Tue 30 Jan 2018, KO 19:45

Like many i sometimes drive passed a football stadium on route down south. Without taking your eye off the road you can make out it is the home of Walsall fc. I then think about during my lifetime have Rovers played Walsall?...so endeth my interest in Walsall. It turns out we have played them some ...

They would have to sell him in this transfer window or risk losing him in the summer for nothing.
Well no, since he's under 24.

Indeed, that accent needs a lot of practice... I assume the difficulty lies in the translator attending rehearsals with a band located on the other side of the world?

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

No, Allardyce didn't suggest we should get relegated, he created the impression that the best we could do in the PL was struggle to hang on to mid-table... which you seem to be echoing. I'm not glad we went down, I'd rather we'd have recaptured the competitive edge that made us a top half PL side be...

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

I quite clearly said that struggling to hang on to mid table sucked - in any league. I'd rather watch a team fighting to win a division lower. Obviously a team playing well in a higher league is great. But that wasn't what I said. No, you didn't say "in any league". You said it's much more fun than...

Common sense would be explaining to the woman that a person with normal hearing would not usually be able to hear every word that is sung at a gig, it's not an essential part of "the experience". I'd love to know what she'd expect at a Sigur Ros gig...

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

Sadly I think FFP as it stands will make it almost impossible for us if we make it back to the championship, it just doesn't help a club with a fan base as small as ours. Yep, the Championship favours giants such as Burnley, Bournemouth and Brighton these days... :yeahright: FFP crashed us because ...

Re: Today's random stupidity story...

Deaf woman sues Little Mix promoter for not providing sign language interpreter for support acts. Many would say being deaf at a Little Mix concert was preferable... Most comments I've seen seem to focus on what's a reasonable adjustment. However, having seen an act perform with a signer before, I ...

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

Seeing your team win always beats watching them lose. But somehow it's more satisfying to beat Man Utd than Fleetwood Town. And as blackbat points out, we were a competitive top half side for a number of years in the PL. I'm surprised eth has fallen for Allardyce's myth.
