Re: Blackburn Rovers v West Bromwich Albion

Interesting fact that Rovers have not lost a NYD fixture at home now since 1977. That was a defeat to Brian Clough's Nottingham Forest. Really glad for todays win especially after a bad end to 2018. Now what can Rovers do against Newcastle.

Re: Sheffield United v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 29th Dec 2018, KO 15:00

One thing Rovers do not seem to have is access to decent foreign players. Apart from David Raya who has been in England since being a teenager i cannot recall without investigating the last time Rovers brought in a player from overseas. And by that i mean Europe and further afield. I would not call ...

Re: Sheffield United v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 29th Dec 2018, KO 15:00

It has been a horrible run of fixtures against the better teams in the league. It is not fair to be too critical of the players and the manager. That is what supporters of other clubs would like us to do. For me Rovers have had a very testing month where the quality of the opposition have been able ...

Re: Boxing Day Bash: Leeds United v Blackburn Rovers, Wed 26 Dec 2018, KO 15:00

That is why we are not top of the league. A small difference in quality. But was anyone serious about Rovers promotion chances this season?. Rovers have another hard game before the end of the year after a month of playing promotion contenders. Best thing about it all Rovers have performed well ove...

Boxing day fixtures sometimes do have a habit of the odd surprising result. Rovers to win 3-0

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Norwich City, Sat, 22 Dec 2018, KO 15:00

After a team has been promoted it is always going to be hard to maintain the regular winning of games. We all know Rovers history of the last ten years but the last eighteen months have seen a steady progression. With 31 points already it is safe to assume Rovers will be playing championship footba...

Hopefully we don't have to suffer an ex-player curse with Rhodes or Hanley.

Re: Rovers/Birmingham City

The difference between this season and last is it is a lot harder to make chances and your own mistakes are more likely to be punished. The answer to those problems is collect a group of players who are better than those of last season. Also you need a manager who is tactically sound enough to get t...

Re: Rovers/Birmingham City

The simple reason why you cannot even suggest changing managers is you take a look at what happen when Sam Allardyce was in charge. Rovers were a mid table team and the owners were convinced by advisers that better times lay ahead if they dismissed Sam. We saw what happened. OK Sam proved to be a do...

Re: Sam Gallagher

Strong rumours again for the up coming transfer window that Rovers maybe interested in bringing Sam Gallagher back on loan. Why are Rovers buying Ben Brereton if this is the case. Anyway Gallagher proved he can score goals in the championship already even with a struggling team that was relegated. B...

I would have settled for a point before the game so i am happy with that. Good to know we can perform at promotion hopefuls grounds and talk about why we should have won but didnt. With the fixture list Rovers have in December its an optimistic view to have.

Re: Middlesborough v Blackburn Rovers, Sat, 08 Dec 2018, KO 15:00

The general expectation for this game would be for a Middlesboro win. So far this season Villa, Derby, Stoke, Leeds and West Brom have failed to live up to that expectation. Let us hope we can add Boro to that list. The other list of Bristol City, Sheffield United, Swansea City, PNE and Wigan is the...

Re: FA Cup

If Newcastle are tempted to rest some players and Rovers dont then i can see Rovers having a chance. We beat them twice in the Rovers relegation season so even when we are shit we still win. The BBC should have this as a televised game.
