Re: Cycling

Froome dropped again, Thomas on his own with Dumoulin, Roglic and Krisjwyck (or however you spell it)

Re: Cycling

Thomas has always been a strong rider and a future leader, Just honestly didn’t see him beating Froome hands down and he is. Could be the Giro exertions starting to show, like it has for Quintana in years past. Either way I’m delighted for him and I do think he has the beating of Demoulin, probably...

Re: Cycling

Hope Bernal sticking with Froome when dropped doesn't hurt Thomas too much....

Re: Calling all parents

For what it is worth... my personal parenting buying history. Good Slings - seriously a life changer... couldn't recommend enough. As a result we barely used a pram / buggy with our first. Started with a stretchy for newborns ... and moved onto a buckles carrier from around 12 weeks to 15 months. T...

Re: Calling all parents

It's probably easier just not to crash. We have had non-isofix for both so far... the first one we didn't have the anchors in the car... second we couldn't find a rear facing toddler seat to fit in the back of a micra that had iso-fix. It's not something I'd worry about too much... I found fitting ...

Re: Calling all parents

£220? Ouch. The 0-12 seat we bought was £100.... That's what worries me about safety and isofix, there's no real difference between the two methods of installing a seat in terms of safety, though an isofix seat has to have more materials and robustness because more crash energy is transferred in tha...

I grew up before car seats as far as I know. I remember rattling around in footwells without seat belts.
:D

And clearly that level of safety was terminal, so there's no way you could drive like that with kids and them not immediately expire due to the sheer inherent danger.

Re: Cycling

Looking forwards to tomorrow's extremely short but tough stage; two cat 1s and a HC climb to finish all in 65km.

Re: Calling all parents

That appears to be a blanket warning on any multi stage seat on Which. It's word for word on loads of car seats. At the time of purchasing the seat we have, which was over a year ago, the Which reviews were great, now they're "Don't Buy". I think it will likely be down to them not being i-Size. Obv...

Re: 2018/19 Season

Perhaps they should just show all the TV games at 3PM on a Saturday, eh?

Re: Calling all parents

Well that's their purpose, to be easier to fit (oh and to make Volkswagen money). But that's the only advantage I can see of them (oh and that in several years they'll be the only fitting system allowed (unless the change the legislation between now and then, again) under EU law... which we might no...

Re: Calling all parents

We went for a simple rear facing car seat that fit both of ours until they were about a year old, then moved them into a Kiddy Guardian Pro 2 seat that's good until she's 12. Not sure if it's the one you went for RTT, but I noticed that the Joie Every Stage FX has a Which rating of 39% and the foll...

Not sure if it's the one you went for RTT, but I noticed that the Joie Every Stage FX has a Which rating of 42% and the following Don't Buy product warning attached . Product alert This child car seat has passed the regulatory tests required by ECE R44/04 to be sold as suitable for children from 9-...

Re: Cycling

You knew it was coming! Sky knew it too and yes, he has been disqualified from the tour . Just like US Postal. Not like US Postal; they didn't have anyone banned til years after the event!* Get your facts right . * disclaimer, US Postal may well have had people banned prior to the Armstrong debacle...
