Raoul Moat walked into a bar. I don't know the rest, I was too busy climbing out the bathroom window...

Man City have just bid £45m for Raoul Moat.

They don't know who he is but they have heard everyone is after him.

The funniest thing about that one is that everyone is copying the spelling mistakes...

I'm a PC and hiding from Raoul Moat was my idea.

Looks like Raoul moat is the new Anne Frank: he writes, he hides and he most probably dies.

He's also the most dangerous ginger to emerge from the woods since last months fox attacks.

I'm struggling to comprehend reality here. Is this really happening?

We're all detached from the situation, so it seems crazy to hear someone make a defence of the guy's character. It doesn't help that Gazza is as thick as they come, either. But people do see things with a different perspective when they know the person involved - someone I used to work with got sent down for a road rage incident just before Christmas, and it seems like I'm the only person in the company who thinks he must have been guilty. The rest all assume his solicitor, judge and jury all screwed up, the witnesses were lying and it was all a ghastly miscarriage of justice. It's not that weird that Gazza will still have seen Moat as the guy he knew, rather than the nutjob we've all been hearing about...
