I don't think they got far enough for anyone to push for that.

Of course the ire is directed at Thwaites, the police, the council and Rovers. Not the guy who's taken their money without finding out if he had permission to deliver what he was promising. :yeahright:

Having now been by for a look... I can't believe how terrible the design was anyway.

Why did they pay a professional to paint a bad Photoshop job onto a building?

Is there not also an argument they should be prosecuted under the hate crimes laws?

I think their final design was toned down, less incendiary.

That is fucking awful.

Also - I'm not keen on them appropriating the image of a dead man and using him to push opinions that he may or may not have shared.

Well, there was a long running rumour he had some views that some might call racist. Who knows how accurate such things are of course.

Shouldn't it have been quotation marks anyway?

I'm sure Richard Brown would tell how the Rovers squad in the mid 90's was full of equal opportunities.

I also remember back then and beyond 'fans' not being especially accepting of those of colour and speaking of Jack like he was a proper Northerner, with the added bigotry not really touched on because it was the norm.
