We will be the winningest club in the country, there will be so much winning, we will have won it all. It'll be yuuge how big this club will, we will win and be promoted to a more massively yuuge status. I would have my buddy, Cristiano Ronaldo, come join us because he loves winning bigly. And when I say we will be winning bigly, I mean bigly to the big league. And that's how I will Make Blackburn Rovers Great Again

Like in the other pollness thread, this is Blackburn's first home match of the regular season. A win will be necessary to show the fans how serious this squad is to gain promotion.

I think the Trump option needs something about building a wall on the half way line to keep the opposition out.

I will be away for this first home fixture (as I was last year) so will follow developments with the trusty old transistor radio.

Hopeful (but not expecting too much yet) that we can build on Tuesdays encouraging performance (ignore that we got mullered on Saturday).

I will also be away for the Burnley game which is a real bugger - but hey ho - at least I've no more (real) work for the next 2 weeks

The three goals Rovers have conceded this week were all similar in the fact they were all avoidable. We had chances to clear but didn't. Doncaster beat Bradford midweek and i wish they hadn't. This league was meant to be easier than last season but so far we've played the club that just missed out on the playoffs, a team promoted and next up Bradford themselves who failed in the playoff final last season. Why can't we just play a team that makes us look good instead of playing those who insist on trying to beat us.

All goals conceded are avoidable, from a certain perspective.

I agree we need points now, but I don't think right now is the time over analyze things. We did well against Coventry, showing we can score goals. I would like to chalk it up to first match jitters.

I've had another look at the goals Rovers have conceded. Southend's first goal was well created but Southend's second and Coventry's goal were shocking pieces of defending. Coventry's defending for Rovers second and third was even worse though! On a different subject Rovers transfer activity has been numerous to say the least. Should we be successful in gaining promotion this season it will only be a matter of time before we are accused of buying our way to success. Well if we are accused it is about time we felt the benefit of having an owner promising support for the club. Also we have the stadium and facilities worthy of the Premier league. The fans, well it been hard watching football down at Ewood park of late. People have stayed away for one reason or another but i do believe people will turn up to watch a winning team. I hope the lads pulling on the famous blue and white halves today give us the first installment of Rovers sending fans home happy.

Darth, how long will it take you to realise that the Championship FFP rules were the thing stopping the club making big transfers?

So I'm guessing that's:

---------------------Raya-----------------------
Nyambe----Ward-----Mulgrew----Williams
------------------Smallwood------------------
Caddis----Bennett---Evans---Whittingham
------------------Graham----------------------

Or something?

I like Caddis' versatility, but he is not a week in, week out starting right mid. I really think they are playing 5 in the back, or 3, I have no fucking clue what formation this is. All I know is it looks chaotic.
