Discuss all things Rovers related except...

The way the team is playing it looks like

a stich in time can save nine.

A team which had an impeccable home run of not losing last season.
Looking at it I think Rovers are going to win this one.

I might be really negative if Nyambe plays centreback again. Or if we play 5 at the back. It's not like we have a stellar right wing back to throw out there, or 2 other centreback that can play up field like Mulgrew. I think Mulgrew would be excellent in a defensive midfield position, something like a diamond 4-4-2 or 4-5-1.

I hope TM try's to keep the formation simple and not over complicate the tactics. A simple 4-4-2for me:

Raya, Nyambe, Mulgrew, Ward, Williams, Bennett, Evans, Smallwood, Conway, Dack, Samuel

The times we actually got some genuine width last week we nearly scored and scored. Get the ball out wide and deliveries in the box!

Myambe representa the only element of speed in our defence - sooner have him than Williams in the team, Gladwin improved the left hand side of the team no end last Saturday.
I would like to see
Leutwiler
Nyambe Mulgrew Ward Gladwin
Caddis (or Conway) Dack Smallwood Chapman
Samuel Graham

I think Leutwiler is a good choice to start. He was a number 1 goalkeeper over at Shrewbury, so might as well see what he has to offer now, rather than later.

I dread to see that back three again... With the central midfielders we play with that system, it's just far too negative and ends up with us having plenty of possession in our own half and no ideas when we look to actually get the ball forward

Looks like a 4-2-3-1 which is fine by me. I'd also like to see Leutwiler start just to mix things up, but I'm also delighted to see Feeney not make the bench

Nice 1-0 victory, playing 4 at the back. Unfortunately Nyambe did not play, nor did Graham. I'll take the points any way we can get them.

Thrilled by the win, in front of big Bradford crowd (21,000).

Tight defense, & goal provided by an older player (Conway) to one of the new additions for the finish (Samuel).

72 hour rule is in force (party, lads!) ...until dingles come calling

First defeat for Bradford at home since March 2016, a run of 31 games. Nicely coincides with us playing a back four instead of that stupid back three shit that doesn't work for us! Hopefully kick starts our season; roll on mk dons on Saturday

Excellent win for Rovers. Lets be positive and forget the first two games. I don't care what happens in the cup game next Tuesday. Three points for Rovers next Saturday against MK Dons is more important. It would be really nice to get out of League One first time of asking. Interesting to see both Bolton and Millwall who were promoted last season currently occupy a relegation place in the championship.

Darth, I noticed that as well (Millwall & Bolton off to poor start). Bolton released a lot of experienced players.

Perhaps we can at least make a decent showing against Burnley. Maybe a raucous home crowd can offset what probably will be a huge following for them.

With so many new midfielders, a rough start to the season shouldn't have been unexpected. Hopefully we follow the success at Bradford with points vs MK.
