Good to see him come on in the first place. He has been missing.

Thats ok, thrilled to get the win, & I will try & find Graham's goal, & convince her he scored in the 78th minute for her! :lol:

Now, if the Texas Longhorns win today, & the Cowboys beat the Giants tomorrow night, I will get a sweep!

Rochdale

No topic for the game yesterday??... *

Really enjoyable afternoon, a stadium I've never been to so one to tick off the list. 3 points...3 goals....cleansheet = happy days!! I think Mowbrays post match comments are absolutely spot on. We are a team who are starting to look acclimatised to the league. We completely dominated the game. Yes Rochdale were really poor, but I think our setup and pressing caused them to be. Smallwood and Evans dominated the midfield, Conway always a threat out wide and Samuel and Antonsson worked really hard upfront.

It shows the strength of the squad when we can bring Chapman, Dack and Graham on who all influenced the game. With Lenihan, Mulgrew and Nyambe not even featuring this looks a very strong League 1 team. We are going to need all the squad to play a part to achieve out goals.

Well done boys, roll on Tuesday night!!

*fixed. I merged your thread with this one. Gibbon

Listened to the match on Radio Lancs. Sounds as if our two centre backs were not on the best of form - Rochdale's atrocious finishing let us off the hook.
Let's not get carried away, I feel that until the three lads missing from the back four return, we'll always be vulnerable to a strong attack. Not sure why Houghton wasn't in the squad, I liked this lad when he played last season.

Do you mean Scott Wharton? The young centre back? He had a knock in training and is getting back to fitness.

Also, its a bit weird to be moaning about team selection after a three nil win....

It seems we're starting to find our feet a bit now. Not had many 3-0 away wins over the past few years...

Rovers, 3-0;
Texas, 56; San Jose, 0;
Dallas, 19; nyg, 3.

I am not likely to have this good of a football weekend the rest of the season!

Watched the match via facebook live!!! Score was not a fluke.

In total control really. Was getting worried as we had missed a few chances to finish them off and you know the home side will usually push hard towards the end. However they hit the crossbar and we were ruthless.....

Great to see... I think we might be better away from home...

However I think we need to win our home games convincingly to enable the fans to be healed.

Other than highlights not seen us play this season due to holidays.

However, will dust season ticket off (or open the envelope) and take up my rightful place on the Riverside this Saturday.

I will reserve judgement until then but believe the performances to date have not been brilliant. This does not matter providing the results are going in the right direction as they have for the last 3 games.

Hopefully we can pick up points mid-week and then deal with The Don's on Sat

Even though I watched the match, I am going to review the extended highlights and make a post. But I did see quite the skill from Chapman posted on Rovers page. I really hope we are looking into him permanently.
