Scunthorpe v Blackburn, Tuesday 12 September 2017, 19:45

Discuss all things Rovers related except...

Should the league take a moral stand and force Scunthorpe to rename themselves as Shorpe?

Yes of course!

No, every club should be forced to insert a rude word in it's name!

I just think it's a bit wonky that we've gone from playing Crotchdale to Scunthorpe in one week. After that it's AFC Qwimbledon.

If you squint, I guess we could be mistaken for Blackbum.

Blackbum sounds like a common name for a medical condition.

Tomorrow will be a tougher test, Scunthorpe are unbeaten this season in the league.

Hopefully the first two defeats become the shock the players and Mowbray needed to understand some of the challenges in this league. If we can start to extend this run even further things will start to look promising.

In midfield and attack we've clearly got the quality to control games and score goals, hopefully that continues tomorrow night.

If we are able to win or draw this match, it will be considered progress. From losing the first two followed by winning the next three, it's a good leap into form. I would hope for a win because not only do we deliver Scunthorpe (there has to be a better name for them), we equal them on points. If Rovers are able to maintain ten to twelve points every five matches, it should be an easy ride to promotion.

Putting aspirations of promotion to one side for the last 7 seasons or so it's been a difficult time and obviously includes 2 relegations. We've spent a lot of that time losing games frequently so if this season can do one thing it would be to get back into the habit of winning games a lot more often.

Harper, Mulgrew start, while Smallwood and Morris try to get one over on their respective old clubs.

This is not a bad lineup. Glad Mulgrew is back.

Nervy start to say the least

Sounds like they've got 12 men on the field from the commentary

We're not doing much.

Today is one of those days when you start thinking 0-0 on the road isn't a bad result.
