I'm not sure what Mowbrays reluctance in starting Chapman is :shrug: I can maybe understand away from home where he would favour the more defensively sound Conway/Bennett, but at home where the onus is on us to take it to the opposition Champnan seems the more obvious choice to me...

Everytime Conway/Bennett received the ball yesterday, their first movement is to turn back on themselves and either go sideways or back to the full back. Completely counterproductive from an attacking perspective. Whereas at least Dack and Chapman first thought is to be more direct and run at the opposition.

Yesterday was massively disappointing and very similar to the Doncaster game. I was hoping we were going to make a Ewood a fortress this year but it looks like the opposition are rising to the occasion of playing at such an arena. Rovers need to learn quickly on how to cope with this.

He's spoken previously of how he believes Chapman is most effective when the opposition is tiring.
