A yuuge G of the likes you have never seen before. But we have our people working on it, sending relief to the arable farmers in Rovers. They sit on an island surrounded by water. Big water. Ocean water. They will be so happy when they get this relief, they will look back in 4 years and say "That Alan Irvine, he knew how to make Rover Great Again!" It's a true story because I just said it, and that's how Grover Cleveland will make Rovers Great Again!

I should not admit I'm sleeping at work. 0-0, HT. Not much to talk about.

Beaten by the mighty Bury which is really good news. Soon as we are out of all cup competitions this season the better. With only league games to think about this will leave some time for some serious Arable farming.

I think the team sheet shows the club's attitude to this competition. Beat Rochdale and we're through anyway.

Still, if the win at the weekend wasn't satisfactory for some fans... ;)

The win was satisfactory....the performance was not. That you cannot dispute (if you were at the game)

By all accounts another shocking performance last night. Yes we can all agree that this competition is fairly irrelevant to us in terms of our objectives this season, but it's never good to lose/play shit particularly in front of your own fans...

No, but it's going to happen sometimes. 10 of Bury's starting 11 were included in their match squad for their last league game. Same is true of only 5 of ours, with only one actually starting at the weekend. That probably means Bury have a smaller squad, but it needs to be considered. We entered this competition with our reserve team last season to give some younger players experience. It appears we're treating it in a similar way as much as the rules will let us this year. With that in mind it's plain daft to expect or demand scintillating football and comfortable victories in this competition.
