Dread is such a tough word, I mean, you have to dread something. That's a dreadful thought, dreading what will happen, as if it is a dreadnought captained by Captain Dredd. I talked to Captain Dredd once, dreadful guy, let me tell you. I dreaded meeting him, and I think, honestly, I think he is one of the most dreadful guys I have ever seen, and quite honestly, the most dreadful man to ever be seen of the likes of before. His dreadlocks look so dreading that it might talk to you, and I think they did when I was talking to Captain Dredd. So that's why, I appoint Captain Dredd to make Rovers Dreadful Again!

What a win! All around good match, Downing looked great at centreback with Mulgrew. Nyambe looked productive, Chapman is quite a turn and burner, and the stacked midfield worked out.

My only slight negative is Whittingham kind of goes anonymous during the match, but that can be good too.

Best performance of the season by a mile. Soooooooo much better than recent games and I left very happy (albeit very wet) this afternoon!

Does this coincide with the inclusion of Chapman from the start we don't know, but he adds pace and an attacking threat from the off.

The one negative was the petulant sending off by Samuel. Footballers don't do themselves any favours sometimes in terms of their reputation for lacking brain cells but this was ridiculous. That's him out next week for Wigan.

I'll enjoy the beers tonight mind you!!

Well done Rovers

Oh well Samuel wasn't in the starting XI for a very good performance so it won't cause Mowbray a headache. Glad to see Dack coming into some form, was hoping he'd be key for us this year when we signed him :D .

Good to see Chapman start the game and also the return of Downing. The midfield pairing of Evans and Smallwood is the best we have. Looks like Dack is settling into life in the northwest well. With Nyambe back we only need Lenihan back too and we will be at full strength. I think with all things going for us the first choice team at Mowbrays disposal is the best in the league. Trouble is it only takes one or two absentees and we look vulnerable. Hopefully we can have the same players available against Wigan minus Samuel of course. His stupidity just might have handed Joe Nuttall a chance. Next weeks game against Wigan will be a big test for both teams and their ambitions. On a side issue the teams who have taken points off Rovers of late are continuing in the same form against other clubs so maybe Rovers performances against them wasnt that bad after all.

So we remain undefeated against sides in the top half whilst we've struggled to beat the lower half sides... Worrying signs that the teams that sit deep and play for a point, are the sides that have picked up points against us...

Wigan next, massive game if we want to be getting automatic promotion...
