It doesnt matter if its the premier league or league one. Players have to have that fear that if they are just drawing their wages and not contributing to the cause then that is not acceptable. If that involves a few raised voices and kicking over the drinks table then so be it. What ever next? I player refusing to play because his hair is out of place and it infringes is images rights.

During that period that ManUre were playing in League 1?

He used his management skills to get the players to react in a positive way and get a result. You don't have to shout at people to get a reaction. That you think that is in someway a bad thing is symptomatic of so much about our club these days.
Darth just likes being negative and moaning.

The odd thing is that Rovers' approach has been far too casual for the last five seasons - whichever manager has been in charge. We take the pitch as though we are a goal up ,and the only time we hit top gear is in the last ten minutes of matches we are losing.
The younger players may lack experience but their enthusiasm and work rate makes them worth their places.
Incidentally I think Graham is criticised unfairly. He is a very big bloke, he's no youngster yet when we are defending corners it's often his head that gets us out of trouble. He remains our best centre forward.
Evans isn't my favourite player, but I'd prefer him to the invisible man - Whittingham, any time. Mowbray suffers the same problem that all managers seem to have - no matter how poorly they are playing, Mowbray favours his 'own' signings, although on balance his signings have been good. Smallwood, Chapman, Mulgrew, Dack, and Caddis are fine, not sure about Samuel, but Gladwin and Whittingham are negatives.

I don't think Whittingham is a starter anymore. I already said what I needed about Gladwin, but Whittingham seems to be in retirement mode. He puts in some effort, I honestly don't think there is a better passer on the squad than him, but I think he is better suited off the bench when he doesn't have to conserve for 90 minutes.

Honestly, we dominated the second half, it appeared the tactics changed when Hart came off for Nuttall, so until we start floating around 12th and it's the end of January, I am not terribly too concerned just yet.

Oh yea, HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLACKBURN ROVERS!!! :hyper:

So after finding the highlights of the match, I think Nuttall should deserve a shot at starting next Tuesday, and continue it. His left footed goal to beat the keeper near post, the pass to Dack which lead to a Graham goal, plus the movement into position on that goal. He really seems motivated to break through.

Thanks, had to tear through Google to get to this, since BBC is restricted in the US if you directly access it.

That's a really uninteresting draw, but a good opportunity to get to the 3rd round.

I was hoping we'd draw Real Madrid, or the Washington Generals
