Blackpool v Blackburn, Tue 28-11 2017

Post by Thorisgodpoo » Mon Nov 27, 2017 8:37 pm

I am quite angry at myself for not realizing past mistakes on jumping from internet hot spot to another, and I lost a spectacular poll. So you will all have to just deal with it.

On an aside, I hope Rovers win.

Bowyer has regrouped this team on the pitch, and with the club up for a new owner, the fans should be happier than they have been in a long while.

But, judging from avg attendances, about 3,500 is all they get. This should be another roadie in which Rovers have more fans than the home team has.

It will be interesting to see what Rovers can put together at Bloomfield. I believe Rovers are better on paper, but many of the intangibles appear to be going Blackpool's way. They are only 5 spots below us.

Should be a fun game.

Let me tell you about posting on cell phones. The Chinese are great at posting on cell phones. Their cell phone posts are so much bigger than our cell phone posts. Their cell phone posts are yuuuuuuuge. I talked to our cell phone post people and asked them why our cell phone posts aren't as yuuuuuge as the Chinese cell phone posts. Believe me, we're working on it, let me tell you. And that's how we'll make match day polls great again.

What are the intangibles? Or did you mean ‘tangerines’?

Quite an interesting night given the other fixture between Charlton and Peterborough. If Charlton and Rovers both win is opens up a big gap between the playoffs and 7th.

Equally we could drop down to 6th with a few teams right on our tails.

Unless we lose by 10 goals or more, we can't drop down to 6th and be less than 4 points clear of the pack with a game in hand.

So the good news is, our projected points equate to automatic promotion in a typical season. The bad news is that current projections indicate that the same is true for 4 other teams. Just our luck really! You’d expect that some of those teams will start to drop down at some point - otherwise it will a very competetive top 6, points-wise!

Current Top 6 – projected Points
Wigan - 102
Shrewsbury – 97
Scunthorpe - 87
Blackburn - 87
Charlton - 87
Bradford – 83

2016/17 top 6 – final points
Sheff U – 100
Bolton – 86
Scunthorpe - 82
Fleetwood – 82
Bradford – 79
Millwall – 73

2015/16 top 6 – final points
Wigan - 87
Burton – 85
Walsall - 84
Millwall - 81
Bradford – 80
Barnsley - 74

Charlton are also on 34 points... :-?

We drop if they better our result sure and 4 points is a lot closer than a possible 8 with a game in hand.

Seems like a 4-4-2 set up, the usual suspects at the back 4, Whittingham with the start over Evans, Bennett as well getting the start. Graham replacing Nuttall up top. I like this lineup, should be interesting to see how they perform in the first half.

Whittinghams last chance to impress before he becomes a firm bench player for me.
